He Paints!!!!!!!!! Been missing your work sir. Good start, yes water would look fantastic with the whole look of the mini.
I must bite the bullet, face my demons and finally get a water effects base to WORK!!

Thanks guys! Yeah 10, been some time indeed away from the bench. It has been nice getting back to it. I was able to do some drawing, so it wasn't a total loss. This is one I did for my friends birthday. He liked it a lot I think.

She looks so severe, or maybe possessed. Will you do anything dramatic with her face or expression? I love that blue, btw.

Yeah, we missed seeing you post. Excellent painting. The skin tones are very smooth and the blue is a very pretty color. Some water effects at the base would be neat. Any chance you'll share some step by step photos of how you create them? I know I'd like to see your process and I'm sure others would too!

Oh, and love the drawing. :)

Thanks guys. I'm not going to do resin water just some splashing water from the updraft she has created, it will be a lot of water though. I'll post some progress pics if you're still interested.

While thinking about the water and trying to smooth out the blues, I started on this little figure. She came as a gift from a good friend of mine. Even though she isn't my usual size, I decided to start on her right away. I have just started on the freehand designs of her kimono, there are still many designs to paint.

For size reference, she is standing on a wine bottle cork.

That freehand is looking sweet, especially at that scale. Should be a lovely piece when you finish.

Yeah, we're definitely still interested in the water effects. I want to create a splash effect for one of my figures so seeing how you do it would be very helpful

PS - I don't know if you've been following the Scale 75 Duel kickstarter, but you should take a look at the latest character they've added, Lisbeth:

I'm hoping they'll have a digital sculpt before the kickstarter ends (they had one finish for the previous character finished in about 10 days from unlocking, so I'm hopeful). Either way I'm not too worried about it, the last one was very close to the concept art.

Glad you like her so far. I will show some progress of the splashes when I start them (maybe this weekend). I just hope I don't eff it up now. Bailey; I have been watching it but not closely enough to see that new girl, I like her a lot. Hopefully the digital sculpture will be close to the concept art. I already have most of the other figures so I may back just to get the two girls. Thanks for the heads up sir.

Thanks Andy, I've got a couple more figures to paint before I can get that girl on her base. In the mean time, I am making some headway on some other girls I have been working on. The chair for Mona was as hard as I thought it would be. I ended up making the chair legs out of nails and sinking them into the base. The supplied legs would not allow her to be transported to shows. The other girl is from scale75 and is a fun figure to paint. I built her little building out of balsa wood. She owns a salvage yard.
