Ack! I go out of town for 3 hrs and come back to this. THAT is a stunning version of Alice. Although now that I look closer her face bears an uncanny resemblance to my brother in law's wife. Oh, the next visit is gonna feel all kinds of awkward for me :embarrassed:

thank you guys, glad you like how she soming along. Zab, now you don't have to wonder anymore. I called an audible tonight when the little fellas I was gonna put with her didn't pan out. She is on this huge base with no backup plan and no way to get her off the base. How about some water, why not? I dug a pond into the wood and am gonna try that gold fish painting thing I saw on youtube. I'll make some plants out of paper and put them in the water. I hate when a plan doesn't come together but I think the pond and waterfall may end up even better. I'll post pics of the water and waterfall process.

Thanks Khonner and Bailey. Here is the first step in Alice's water. I dug the pond out, textured it and now painted the bottom. I'll pour the first layer of resin soon then paint the first part of the fish on it.

The other ladies look boss. I am very interested to see this progress. So do you just forego sleep now or what?

I enjoy your work. Would love to see tutorial from you on sheer cloth. While I think I get the gist of it, one on the fish you just did would be cool too.

Mike, What colors did you use to paint the fish? Did the colors change when you added the resin? They went from looking pinkish to orange. Really neat effect! Congrats!

I remember seeing a video of a guy painting fish like that. Glad to see you making it your own. It's a great effect.

Happy New Year Milosh! And a good one for me to see the last three pages of lovely ladies. Those fish turned out very neat. BUT I am a little worried...if your painting of the ladies gets any better they will come to life and walk away before you have a chance to take pictures.Lol :D

Thanks guys, I am really glad you like my girls. HBB, I am thinking of doing something describing the sheer effect. If I figure out how to explain it clearly I will do it for sure. Wigdog my man Your eyes aren't fooling you, The resin deepens the color of the paint the same as if you added a satin varnish to a model. Hey Tryst, I like the idea behind the 3D fish too but I want t practice some more on larger versions. Thanks KB, I hope they don't walk away or my cabinet would be empty! Thanks again guys more painting to come.
