Wow, talk about fast. I already reciaved my package from johnboyjjb and woot! Looks like he went scavanging throguh the old ral Partha closet and that makes me happy. Never had the chance to paint any of the ral partha but i remember seeing them long before i started painting and thinking they were neat. I\'ve always wanted to paint the Ral partha Evil Wizard and WOOT! I have one so now i get that chance. Thanks johnboyjjb! :D

And what a package it was!!!

Ltd. Edition Captain Sicarius (I couldn\'t believe it when I saw him, I had just started painting the model I bought of him last night!!! It was very weird, but ace as I absolutley love the mini, and have just started to collect Ultramarines and ltd. Edition stuff!) I only have his backpack and banner to do, so as well as the first recipient I may also be the first to finish a ME10 and post a picture!!!

The Brettonnian Battle Standard bearer, and I have already planned a scenic base and cool conversion of him on foot, fighting on despite his horse being killed. Iain must be psychic cause I also collect Brettonians!

I also got an Eldar sweeping Hawk. I have been wanting to paint one of these for a while, in bird like colours rather than blues and greys. Their helmet vents are sculpted a bit like beaks but I have never seen them actually painted like hawks before so should be fun to try!

There was also a cool little personal touch too! Bignastyshark sent me a little nasty shark!! Cool!

Thank you, I am one very happy Dave!

Got my parcel posted out to my recipient today too, on its way to Canada, so should take 4-6 days.

okay now im jelous:D

Got my package today from Beowulfthehunter. Must be the most adventurage package i ever got. most of it had come out of it\'s intended package i think floating loosly in the envelope

ME10-pile-1.jpg

1. No not liqorish (sp?)... they are plastic pirate earrings

2. Package of what remings me of those human figs I had when i was a kid to go with zooanimals and such.

Nor really my thing (I fear I have a bit outgrown these ;) ) but maybe my niece will like them.

3. Bits box gallore. GW mostly.
3a is a hasslefree fig (Signee) but without the arms holding the gun. I don\'t know if I lost them of if they were never in the package (which I think)

4 a bit from the bitbox which needs special mentioning... Two tiny gobbo\'s captured in small cages. Pretty sure those will be put to use sooner or later. Love those. Very good diorama stuff

5 Historical 15mm ww2 fig?

6 Alien of some sorts.. Most likley by Bob olley judging from the style and letters I can see on the bottom

7 HHG 94 It reads. Female barbariantype

8. 40mm? scale gunman, historical looking

9 coin for the histoy channel club.

10 enough bits to make 1 plastic GW dwarf

11 enough bits to make 2 plastic GW piraty looking, emipre something men.

and a sticker with \"I was un-cool before un-cool was cool\" and a collection of bases and a orange strip with tiny brick patern imprint.

Cindy,

Glad to see everything showed up. I had inteded to send just the Female Barbarian, the 40mm Historical Figure and the Alien. I did not think that was enough so I rummaged enough figures though the bitz box to construct atleast 3 figures and some extras.
At that point I just started tossing in stuff from kids meals, vending machines, and the junk drawer. Sorry to say the arm for the Hasslefree figure was not lost I never got one when I purchased her and had a replacement figure sent instead of just the arm. So I figured you ould chop her up or do something with her.

My package goes out tomorrow. Sorry for the delay. Work pressures. :)

Heh, I\'m coordinating this thing and mine only went out today. Same reason. Things have been crazy, crazy nuts for me.

So far this exchange seems to be running without any real problems though -- and I\'m glad we have so many participants.

Haha that\'s a great package, Cindy! Definitely eclectic! Beowulf, you have set a new benchmark (of some kind ;)) in the history of the mini exchange.

(Toxc - your parcel did go in the mail today as planned!)

MiniExchange10Rev.jpg

Got my package last night from Rev. Some cool stuff for sure. From left to right:

Kubla Mini (from KublaCon Game Convention)
A Witchhunter Henchman
2 Ral Partha Historical Range Minis - Looks like an American GI and maybe a Soviet (military history buffs feel free to jump in)?
A cool little guy with a bagpipe (Snotling?)

Thanks, Rev! I think I will paint the Witchhunter first, as I have never painted anything from that range.

Am I just being thick but whats a vector? I know a spectre is a ghosty thingy and a vectra is a type of Vauxhall, so is a vector a ghostly car?

Are you a ghostly car Rev?

I think you are being a bit harsh Jake, As I understand, the whole point of Mini exchange is to pass on Mini\'s that no longer inspire you to someone else in the hope that they will find the creative spark and do something cool with them. In all fairness if you did not like the minis enough to keep hold of them yourself then chances are that the recipient is also going to lack that creative spark with them! Also have you waded through all of Revs mini collection? How do you know he did not already own the mini\'s before you sent them again in the last ME? I personally own all the minis that Bignasty shark sent me (exept the little nasty shark, thats cool!) but I did not mind as all of the bits inspired me to try out conversions or alternative colour schemes when seeing them in component form again.

I am not in the I love Rev fanclub or anything, as I don\'t know the guy, and ghostly cars quite frankly scare me, but just think you are being a bit childish!

P.S- I also forwarded a mini I received in ME9 to my recipient this time round, not because its a crap mini but because I already own it and couldn\'t think of much else to do with her (won\'t say which one yet as my receiver has not got it yet and it would spoil the surprise!)

Folks are free to do whatever the like with the minis they receive. I know that having someone give away, sell, or eat the minis you send them isn\'t always on the list of expected -- but remember: you did give the minis away.

There may be a good reason for having someone send a mini back out (or eat it), there may not be -- ultimately once we send \'em out they don\'t belong to us though; they belong to the person we send \'em to.

Me, I only hope my exchange partners haven\'t been disappointed -- I tend to simply ship off some of my old Ral Partha or early 1990s GW goodies :)

I Agree

I signed up to this for the first time this year,

I didnt dissapoint Orkydave (he he) and im sure that i wont be dissapointed by what Toxc sends me,

If i get a Space marine and an Ork, woo hoo duel conversion crazy!!!

I personally believe that if you are willing to enter into this then accept what you are sent grasiously, even if the sender has been a tight fisted *&^%£$ (no offence ment to ANYONE!)

well im looking forward to my package from germany with enthusiam and excitement, its like a mini christmas present he he he

Cheers Iain.

That\'s the point about mini exchanges. Miniatures that don\'t inspire you or you send of for another reason might not inspire the resiever as well. The main thing is that people appreciate what\'s being send. But it would be a bit much to expect the resiever drooling over everything he/she got send. It\'s not like he handpicks them himself. I been in quite a few ME\'s. And I have to admit not all of them flooted my boat or inspired me. Some have moved on to another person too. But I have gotten some great stuff as well I really loved to have.

And sometimes something strange happens too. You get a whole package of different stuff...and what happens, you go absolutely nuts about 2 little gobbo\'s in cages which were added as an afterthought by the sender. hahaha. Did i already tell you guys i loved those ;) Fit\'s right in my out of the ordinary whimsical mini love. Didn\'t even know these excisted.
