Mini\'s you wish existed?

Are there any? There must be. I have a list a mile long of mini\'s I wish existed.

For example, I\'d like to see a mini of Smaug, from the Hobbit. I know it\'s impossible. He was just too big. The dragons from GW and Reaper would be lucky to destroy a house if they fell on it. Smaug took out a town! That would take some time to paint.

I\'d also like to see some people doing mundane things. Reaper does a pretty good job of this. but still there could be more. How about a soldier in chainmail, picking his nose? Guard duty has to get boring after a while...
:|~

A kid getting spanked?
Someone sitting on a bar stool?
A pesant begging?
Someone just standing around?
A town member plowing?
Two lovers kissing?

What new models would you guys like to see?

Male and female bodybuilders in pose downs and other sports related figures.

More high detail correct scale vehicles, like Hellion\'s 1/60 Dictator CAV and ForgeWorld\'s Warhound Titan. Get to work John Bear! ;)

More 54mm scifi and fantasy figures. I\'m not really into action figures or the bigger resins so this is probably my biggest want of all.

Actually, I remember that years ago GW had the \"Chicken Dragon\" not that it looked like a chicken, it was the SIZE of a chicken!! Needless to say they stopped production becuase they cost too much to make and sell.

I know I want more Eastern influenced minis. Reaper tries, but it\'s not cutting it with me. Those who\'ve played Onimusha know the depth of evil japanese undead and demons, but there\'s a lack of minis... like where do I get I giant japanese minotaur? I hope that one day, with practice I can sculpt my own and even make some resins to sell.

I\'d like to see GW come out with more Snakemen. I heard they are supposed to be adding them into the Chaos lists again next year, so maybe...

Also would like to see someone do a miniature of Belit as she was drawn by John Buscema in the Marvel Conan comics.

Still waiting for Cell Entertainment to releae their Deathdealer miniatures game as well - probably not going to happen though, its been almost 2 years since it was announced.

How about a griffon like the old Grenadier one? (http://www.coolminiornot.com/?id=8133)

Or how about clean shaven human mage/wizard types that aren\'t dressed in long flowing robes?

interchangable mounted figures

I\'d like a line where the humanoid figures and the mounts were sould separately. You\'d get the elf chick, barbarian dude, necromancer whatever, and your choice of dragon, wolf, goat, frog, etc. This would save a lot of time swapping and searching.

Game production companies, we know you lurk (and love you dearly :innocent: ) It\'s a good idea. You have until Christmas. Go go go!!!

hmm . . . a couple of these I know are out there . . .

Reaper has the peasant begging.

Alternative Armies has ridiculous Fantasy figs, Revolting Peasants - mooning and doing all kinds of things), routing guards, etc. There may be one picking his nose or engaging in some other unsavory act.

Old Glory has some good peasants too in 25mm (though most are also revolting and thus in action poses)

West Wind has some great old school horror figs - Werewolves, vampires, zombies, mummies, yeti, pirahna men, Jack the Ripper (And Foundry has some Jack the Rippers too)

WOTC **had** a clean shaven mage with out robes - he had a fist in the air and a staff trailing behind the back of his legs . . or was that Ral Partha?? I based him on a washer so I can\'t tell!

I was about to say I\'d like to see some 2000 AD figures but Foundry is doing some and HeroClix has some coming out too apparently.

For Historicals I\'d like to see 25mm skirmishing French dragoons DISMOUNTED.

For Horror - A Sadako fig from Ringu would be cool - I\'m suprised the McFarlane group didn\'t get a chance to do a statue/figure as part of their movie monster range.

Fantasy: I\'d like to see more early level monsters for D&D. (non humanoid - I should specify) Reaper\'s approaching that stuff now but you can only fight goblins and kobolds for so long!

Vampire Hunter D would make a good figure line in 25\'s

Oh! I\'d like to see more railroad buildings for creating towns (london?) in 25mm. That scale - whatever it is, is wholly neglected by the train community. Prolly because they are built to go around the train - which is in an unpopular scale. I\'m not particularly interested in the train stuff but I love picking through train stores for suitable equipment for other periods.

Got me thinking.

I think GW does a horrible job of making women. Not that their women are bad, they are quite good, but they are not very present. Mordheim has some babes to convert, but they are all sisters of sigmar (and incedentally, the sister superior is an awesome model) but they don\'t have many lay ladies. The elves have a pretty good lady turn out, but not the humans.

I\'d like to see a good yeti. One that\'s the size of a GW chaos demon.

Horses that actually appear to be in a full sprint.

Heros that don\'t have a weapon raised.

I\'ve actually seen a couple, and they look pretty good. There\'s a dwarf figure leaning in his hammer that\'s pretty nifty.

A person loading a rifle. I presume it needs to be done once in a while.

I\'d like to see the demon from Legend in a model.

Some of the War Craft III figures would be cool, like the Paladin, or the Night Elf on the Bengal Tiger.

I\'ll come up with more later.

Smaug

Now I don\'t think he was all THAT big. Sure he took out a town, but only because it was a floating town that he\'d already set afire. He probably wouldn\'t have taken out a whole town on the ground.
Plus, it all depends on scale. If you deal with 6mm stuff, you can have some awfully big dragons, especially if you are willing to go into the highly priced ceramics.

I too would like to see more folks who aren\'t decked out for combat.

I\'d like to see people sitting in chairs, not thrones, chairs. Possibly with food or drink in their hands. When I used to play D&D with minis, players were always going into taverns where the patrons all stood around waving swords in the air.

I\'d like to see more ducks. I have one, and I know someone used to make more for RuneQuest but haven\'t seen any lately.

I\'d like a wizard who isn\'t wearing anything on his head or carrying anything in his hands, but is wearing flowing robes.

I\'d like to see an old woman who isn\'t carrying a broom.

I\'d like to see more fat people.

I\'d like to see knights in armor with shields that are flat so I can paint my own choice of heraldry on them

Laden Adventurers

I miss the really old Citadel and Ral Partha adventures that were heavily overladen with equipment. The Dungeon expedition figures that were returning from their trip full of sacks, weapons, packs and other loot! I had a few of them and I am not sure if they were Citadel or Partha. The guy on the right side of my web banner is one of them (and incidentally stripped down with a new face...)

Yeah! More fat people! Especially fat heroes/PC types, there must be some...

That said:

The Matrix. Trinity in full-on midair cop-kickin\' would be nice. Ground Zero has a Trinity-like fig but it\'s pretty static*.

Leon and Matilda from movie \"The Professional\".

Snipers in \"Ghillie suits\" (those frond-y cloaks that they use for jungle camo) - either modern or sci-fi types. One of the Space Marine snipers has a cloak you could cover in flock, I suppose...

Pulp-era detective types. I\'ve seen some but in a very cartoony sculpting style.

* Ground Zero Games makes a lot of \"character\" minis (the line is called \"Street Level\"), and some (ahem) knock-offs of various licensed properties.

Zaphod\'s name got me to thinking about Zaphod Beeblebrox, President of the Universe. I\'d like to see someone\'s interpretation of him. Throw in Ford Prefect, Arthur Dent, that lady and the Robot that\'s older than time and that would make a really cool model set.

There is a serious lack of overweight heros. I want to see a fat lady in armor. While we\'re at it, throw her on a donkey and I\'ll be tickled pink.

But I\'d also like to see more gaunt figures. I know that truly skinny models are hard to make because the metal can bend. Still, I want to see women with thin wrists. Most of the female models I\'ve seen have man arms. And make a couple of heros that have Johnny Dep\'s figure, skinny. Not all men have muscles... don\'t get me wrong, I do. I have huge muscles, from lifting models all day.

The woman\'s name was Trillium (Brit tendency to name women for flowers) and the robot was Marvin, Your Plastic Pal That\'s Fun to Be With.
Yes, awesome books, Vogons, Slartibartfast etc.

If you want to see a fat lady in armor, check out Jenova\'s Valkyrie:

Sorry, no donkey.

Donkey! yes, more animals. Someone did a pack mule a while ago, but animals other than horses and fantasy creatures are uncommon.

Yeah, I\'ve seen that chubby valk. before. I gave her a 9 because she\'s awesome!

Seriously, her name was Trillian which was a short \"space faring\" version of Tricia MacMillan.... Funny, I just downloaded all of the episodes the other night too....
