I would think that if any crowd were to be open about the definition of the word "Art" it'd be mini painters.
Open about the definition of art certainly. However the idea that that definition frowns on non-representational art is perhaps not so surprising. Think about it. What is mini painting?Attempting to make a miniature sculpture look as realistic as possible. A worthy goal and a very difficult task,but not one that would lend a particular appreciation of the non-representational or abstract. It is (at least somewhat) unsurprising that tis community seems to value technical mastery, difficulty, and realism over artistic vision and expression.
And please, people. This is NOT meant as a condemnation or even a criticism. Merely an observation.
