whats not to love? one of the very few times ive seen the impossible colourscheme (using sharp green/yellow/blue/red in the same picture) actually work. i do however think the horns need some more shading and highlight, they look very flat in these pictures.

I picked up Claymore for a really silly price (£6) and have enjoyed what I watched so far. (Fran tidied up and I can't find where she's put it to finish.)My local anime dealer has sofar managed to steer me away from claymore, she is usually right with these things so I'll pass on it I think. But lovely looking gal
It's classic anime; Swords, Bloodshed, Violence and the "Good Girls" don't always win.
IMO its far better than some of the cack coming out of Hollywood.

@Moetle: really looking forward to seeing The Claymore figure done up, never gone up to an Anime figure of that scale before but I'm tempted once I can get back to painting.
P.S. Fran's dug out the series from where she put it, which is where I'd looked but missed it..........apparently Radiotherapy affects your eyes as well.

Well, DR, since you asked. Also it's getting closer to xmas and I need to finish her. I have been holding off doing anymore Garage kits till my paint booth gets here. I realized the only thing i had left to airbrush on her was the sword. So i picked up where i left off and here we go...
I brightened the logo up. This isn't finished yet:
I also fixed the spots and did some touch ups:
I then started working on her head. I blacked out where i wanted her eyes to be and some recessed areas:
I didn't like that shade for her hair so i redid the basecoat with iyanden darksun. I did this with a lot of watery coats:
I also painted up her skin with Fair skin from RMS. Again i did a lot of watery coats:
I painted her neck parts with RMS pure black and did up her skin areas:
I Painted up the main layer of her hair in RMS buckskin pale, Again with a lot of watery layers building up till the brushmarks fade away. Also i mixed some khorne red and RMS fair skin to paint her lips (A trick i shamelessly ripped off from someone elses WIP log a long time ago).
In most of the picks i found of her online, Her eyes are the same shade of grey as her outfit. So i did those up and the eyebrows and the pupils and the little light reflections in her eyes:

Let me know what Yall think. Tomorrow I'm going to try to make a better light tent/box/thing for use with the good mini camera. Also, weather permitting, i will be finishing her sword also tomorrow also...we shall see. Hope you like her so far DR

Inspired by Milosh and always wanting to try them myself i decided on getting a bust or two. I ended up buying 4 actually. I know right? Well, i got 4 cause they were a really good deal imho and after i actually got them here i cannot complain about the price a bit. I paid around 15$ each and to me they will be good to practice on and might end up looking good to boot They are actually nicely detailed and it didn't take any time at all to get them cleaned up for priming. From Verlinden Productions I got the Roman Legionnaire, Roman Centurion, Samurai, and the one that drew me to these in the first place Edward Teach, Blackbeard the Pirate!

Clean up was pretty easy as well as pinning the few parts:
Personally i was wondering how tall they were. 200mm Bust is the size, but that didn't give me the width or depth. So for those wondering:
I primed them both black and started with the skin basecoat. I used RMS tanned shadow watered down a lot. This was about 7 or 8 complete layers:
What yall think?

Never herd of them till i went looking for a bust to paint. So far i like their stuff.
Finally got a paint booth and man do i love it. Now i can finish some of the other projects that i had on hold. Like Red Devil Girl for instance:
Into the curio she goes!
Did some work on the busts of Blackbeard and the roman legionnaire. For the most part i wanted to keep to the box art and see what transpired. I AB a couple of layers of leadbelcher:
On BB i AB a few coats of macragge blue. This was not as dark as i thought it would have been :
Started on THE claymore but i didnt get too far on it. As I'm writing this I'm waiting on the clear coat to dry:
Painted the cloth on the roman and the bandanna and ribbons for BB:
Did some shading and such with AP dark tone, and highlighted from GW leadbelcher to VMA chrome. i like how it turned out:
