You are welcome Kathryn, my pleasure.

Small update:

So i sat down to paint up Lord Chompy bits, and instead started working on Zoraida and the Stitched together models.. /boggle. Weird how that happens sometimes, I'm hearing the call of nurgle again too...so many projects and so little me to go around. /sigh

Anyways i started working on her skin so here is an actual WIP(kinda):

Since she is a swamp lady and like 4534573948759 years old i wanted her to have some old leathery type skin. i think i pulled it off.

Now the Stitched together "skin". 90% of the stitched models ive seen painted up seem to have the old burlap sack style. I like it and it looks fine, but they look to me like they are stitched together with the flesh of humans. As such i did them much the same way as i did her. although not complete i think they look pretty good too.

the one on the right is right after a wash of ink and the one on the left is the next stage:

same stage:
IMG_0037.jpg

left one is next stage the one on the right is like the one above:

next stage:

Last stage:
IMG_0061.jpg

The reason i posted stage pics, is in the hope that a newer painter can see the progression of the paint, and Older painters to point out if they see something i might be able to improve on in my stages.

Anyways

Cool! On the witch I was worried because the first photo looks like the surface is a little rough. But your subsequent layers look great. Does she have a wart on the bottom of her chin? It looks like you might have missed a spot but I couldn't tell for sure. No big deal. They look great!

Thanks. I think that is a camera glitch or something cause i cant see anything on the model. Course i am getting older and all that happy rot :)

Whoa, that is a whole lotta Wyrd alright. I love Malifaux and have picked up a few boxes myself but you seem to have jumped in with both feet lol. Your Teddy is great and I really like what you've done with the bases on all your figures, keep it up!

Thanks shoyosei, i hope you enjoy the game!

Speaking of that, i had a cook out and invited a few of my old gaming buddies and we tried Malifaux out. All I can say is that this game is the whole bottle of awesome sauce. Even though we were learning it and trying to remember the rules and stuff it was a great game. Everyone loved it and it literally was anyones game til the final moments of the final round. Hate to say it but it was more exciting then warhammer 40k and most the other games we have played. Everyone pretty much agreed were playing more of this in the near future :)

Nothing gets you into the painting mood like a great mini game so i sat down to finish Sonnia Criids box set and ended up painting Storm and a wendigo.../boggle. That is starting to become a habit, but oh well! on to the pics that turned out mediocre at best (going to have to play with a poor mans light box soon).

storm all primed black...yes black. I wanted a different looking storm from the norm but i still wanted a cold look.

Yep I love this game! Friends and I have started playing on mondays after work and it's been great fun. The card/soulstone and "cheat fate" mechanics really make it a different play experience from Warhammer/40k or Warmachine/Hordes. Now I just need to get some of my stuff painted lol

Thanks guys

Did this one up for my girlfriend. She loved it. The uncensored pics, and the full frontal fairy can be found on the e2046.com gallery as im too lazy to post them here and dont want to offend anyone. Thought i did pretty good for my first GK AND first attempt at airbrushing, now i find myself doing both on everything even the normal mini's. The flowers in both her hands and on her base is army painter and the other stuff is woodland scenics, dirt, pebbles etc.

The kit itself wasn't too bad, i'd give it a solid 7 out of ten. The legs were the pain in the butt part.

you mean one o these?

Every ori DE kit i have has been of excellent quality. Mold lines are invisible, almost no flash if any at all. all the pieces fit very very well together. Got 4 of them but im converting the hell out of them. They are very well designed kits and the resin they use is easy to work with.

Right now im working on a scantly clad ninja lady:

and a bad fairy :)

Only had to work for 3 hours today so i got some stuff done. Ninja lady is 90% complete, Black tinkerbell is 60% complete. They are both my on again off again when I'm waiting for things to dry. However i decided to put together another GK and see how long it could take from start to finish. But in between drying times i put together my garden of mor for my Malifaux game on wednesday.

I really wasn't too worried about the details too much. I just wanted to put it together and paint it quickly and have some extra terrain for our game:
IMG_0164-1.jpg

and with some paint:
IMG_0180-1.jpg

Now for the kit i was working on today...I should probably start by saying i like devil girls. You know, demon chicks, succubi, etc. Don't ask why. It is what it is. and of course my step by step sucks so ill just post some pics and you guys can work it out :p

Her arms and legs are in black gloss latex (or at least painted like that). I don't know if you can see it very well or know what I'm talking about but her right leg had weird "blank spots" where the glass coat kinda moved away from. Kinda like oil on water. I've never seen this effect and i know its not from oil or dirt as i cleaned before painting and went from dried black paint to gloss coat. The other limbs came out just fine.
IMG_0174-1.jpg

You can kinda see it on her calf on that pic. Never seen anything like it before. I ended up just painting it black again and started over. so far so good.

IMG_0175-1.jpg

and at 90% completion
IMG_0177-1.jpg

Just got to wait for the gloss coats to cure paint her eyes finish her base and we are good to go!
I know its the last week before games day, but i wanted to wish everyone good luck and good painting! I have decided i will not be going this year, or rather work has decided that for me. So someone take lots of pics! and hopefully they wont use those terrible display cabinets from the year before.
