that is looking much more balanced now Meo. hes right eye is squinting, i think its the non symmetrical look that ppl are picking up on, rather than the paint job, the paint job is quality mate and is coming together nicely... maybe trying to show a few more wrinkles in the skin around the eye would enhance the eye squinting, but you probably already have a plan for it :)

I'm happy with Braveheart but my photo skills lack.

I gave him a missing and chipped tooth to go along with his broken nose :)

Vote for whatever you like the best :)

What do you mean by reflection? If your talking about the sword, that's paint not reflection.

Haha, love the Braveheart guy. The detail you put into it and the thought of a chipped tooth are just nice little finishing touches. I went back and see what your saying about his right eye squinting. All looking great man

GreenOne

I paint my thumb.
He's nice, I'd have voted for him but the monkey king took my heart ( It's about the idea too.)

Reckon the pics seem overexposed, maybe you got too much light, undifused light, or its the settings ( Shutter priority ?)
That makes the top highlight look glary and washes away the vivacity in colors. I havent seen it IRL so I cant say for sure, but I guess you didn't paint the left side of his forehead entirely white.

Thanks guys!

Ya I voted for the monkey king also. It was very well executed and a fun looking model and paint job.

Zab has been helping me with my camera stuff so I am hoping it will get better.

No i meant the light reflection, for your photography. dennis told me a nice set up with 4 lamps, one above but not directly over the mini, 2 45 and one in front like behind/over the camera. with a tent. I am no expert but my pictures a better since I use that. the 2 45 I direct the light like straight at the mini.

Thanks BaM and Ten!

Thanks Tero, I have the natural lights and a light tent. I'll set it up like you suggest. I think its down to my camera distance and its settings though. Right now I'm trying to find the instruction book for it :)

I'm going to hold off on painting anything till I finish reading the book BaM suggested.

You see that makes my Uber happy when I advise folks and they trust me enough to follow...thank you guys I can't wait to see the smile on all your faces when you start using colors on the fly and producing e end better quality models topping even the greatest projects than the ones your pumping out now...you guys are all ready great painters but honestly that color theory book has helped everyone and your gonna see...look at epic he doesn't use recipes anymore and that's beautiful when you start experimenting and mixing colors...the greatest thing in model painting ,if you would've asked me a year ago,Ide have said the technical facet...now when you ask me,Ide say w/o question that the single most important thing is color composition and the appropriate shades/highlights of that colors composition..any question ,although an easy read feel free to ask me or even epic he picked it up quick...
I'm always here guys any minute of any day to assist you with anything....enjoy ;)
