They are from Wyrd miniatures game Malifaux. That is the "of metal and flesh" crew box, the Hoffman avatar, and a few others from the Malifaux range.

The bases were made from corkboard, watch gears, springs from ballpoint pens, some white metal gears from Dragonforge, sprue bits, some gears I made from greenstuff and Zap-a-gap.

I think you could make a garage kit into something magical Tero. There are plenty of them with armor pieces and tons of robots too.

I am slowly working on the Malifaux stuff, and some other stuff, but nothing worth mentioning yet.

Right now though I am trying to focus on the Gods and Monsters contest.

I chose the minotaur bust I had gotten from figone. It wasn't as big as I thought it would be, but it is a really good sculpt and the cast was top notch. Only one mold line on his back and a bit on the base stand.

I knew before the contest was even thought of that I would change the horns. The originals were good, but I didn't think they were menacing enough. So I broke out some milliput and a paper clip for a frame.


Cassar would be proud of me. I blocked out the horns to the basic shape of them, and let it dry over night. I then broke out the dremel and started carving them into shape. One of the tips broke during this process, but I thought it game him some more character so i kept it. I then sanded them smooth.



I wanted to make him more visually interesting and instill a bit more character. So I added some piercings.


I liked it but I still wanted some more. So I added a skull I had in one of my bits boxes. It will be gold or something as it is intended to be jewelery.



He is going to get a bit more "Bling!" but nothing too over the top. I will be priming him shortly and start working on painting him.
