Well I learned something new. Till this video I never realized that the Freemasons were in fact in charge of Al\'Queda.
I\'ll have to find out at the next lodge meeting why I\'m not in on this one. :drunk:

ah, and here\'s the rub of our dispute.
life is defined by its necessities.

life

As the topic has shifted I won\'t continue the \"does life have needs or do needs determine life\" conversation.

I will note though: that I wouldn\'t trust Wikipedia to define encyclopedia let alone life.

i love how the defence seems to be revolving about the difficulty in remembering pythogras theorem or planks constant.

the question was \"how many sides a triangle have?\" 3 year old children know the answer to this. only adults with SEVERE learning disabilites should fail this question. and maybe most people with a silly sense of humor.

the correct answer to \"who should we invade next?\" was not on a map.

correct answer is.. \"WTF would we just invade people for?\"

Actually...if you rewatch the video, you will in fact see the Americans are discussing many heavy theories, and in fact, look quite smart.

I\'m surprised you all think differently.

Rewatch it please.

Give it up Vike.

The strongest world economy is a fluke.

The strongest military is a fluke.

We\'re just a bunch of dummies.

no, really, go rewatch the video.

The way I recall it was gloriously patriotic. You can choose to remember how you may.

But rewatch it.

I love this argument.

I am sure that circa 110 AD citizens of the largest world economy that also possessed the largest and the most advanced world military were giving the same argument. (I am talking about Roman Empire, of cause) Alas, in about 200 years that largest economy quietly disappeared along with its military.

Current largest economy/military exist as such for about 60 years... so yes, you are correct on a historical scale it is a fluke.

it is true you could do much the same with any population. i completely agree that most of these people have been heavily edited and quite possibly baboozaled into giving silly answers.

my point wasn\'t americans are idiots because they can\'t name a country starting with U. (everyone knows it starts with an A)

my point is the questions asked of themselves would not stretch anyone of any intelligence. they were not very difficult questions.

also i freely admit if some bozo with security decided to call himself the prime mininster of canada i\'d only be able to take his word for it. international politics is covered by american owned media here so we know what bush and the other terrorists look like but would be gambling on picking Hu out of a lineup.

What an ironic development. FOX, American\'s biggest \'conservative slanted\' news is owned by Rupert Murdock...whom I believe is Austrailian...

heh he\'s supposed to be australian lol

newscorp isn\'t owned solely by murdoch. in fact the largest other shareholder is american.

murdoch does have majoraty control but even so he would be rather stupid to not listen to his shareholders.

given how much of newscorps revenue comes from the US it\'s hardly surprising that the media produced for americans is being used in australia. so it may be made in australia by australians but it\'s primarily for americans. so we get far less boobage than we used to.

how about me? im a credible resousce on the subject. i have credentials, a lab, grant money, students, experence, other people with fancy degrees who think im pretty smart....

the definitions wiki provided coverdjust about all of them (accurately). there isnt really a universal definition; ironically enough its one of the most difficult things to define. if you want to get stickey, metabolism (eating and shitting) isnt a requirement of life by some definitions...

i must admit...l kinda cheated too ;) using a classical debate defence. we were discussing \"the needed resources for maintaining life in a human (a practical),\" and i shifted it to \"the requirements for being considered \'alive.\'\" sorry (shame on me). i took a literal arguement, and made it abstract.... then again, my original statement was intended to be critique on existance, so perhaps it was you that chanced the subject.

as for the arguement, it was tired, and like i said before, i dont really disagree with you (esp about the clothing thing & i think shelter can be over rated too). i was just happy someone was talking with me lol.

edit: in retrospect it was really this comment that got me going (in an arguement which i am now ashamed of (damn you mary jane!)):

getting into someone\'s pants isn\'t a need for an individual but rather for the race as a whole.
this IS a false statement. why, you dont ask? because reproduction is a property of an individual, growth rate is a property of a population.

from my perspective, it is a need. consider this: you are no more than a life stage of a continuously living entity that has been \"alive\" since the dawn of life. if you dont reproduce you have failed to meet a requirement for your continued existance (much as you would if you stopped eating and shitting).

last word. :p dont be mad. i know im irritating. sorry. in the future ill keep my phiosophical ramblings to myself (even if they are pseudo-witty one liners) and ill stick to mini related topics (before im run out of town).
