My \"blonde\" moments tend to come when I am looking at an unpainted mini. They come in two types \"you mean it\'s got a what?\" meaning I missed some obvious feature that it has and paint it wrong as a result and \"it goes how?\" meaning that somehow I assemble the mini wrong.

Like the time I mistook a leather strap boot for low cut silk stockings. Look at the lady on the right.

And for attachment errors nothing beats the long disjointed arm of desmonda.

Can I count the accidents I had when I was a chef?

Worst one I had was cutting a part off of a sprue that I was holding. I was holding it below the part, and cutting it from above. I still have a scar where I opened up my thumb.

That\'s nothing compared to my cooking stories though. ;)

splash an old black ink pot all over the room, the walls still have all the black dots, the sheets of the bed were bought new and the golden demon entry was repaintedlollol

LOL@all the superglue accidents!

I thought that glueing one\'s teeth together took some beating in the \"What were you thinking?\" stakes but geez guys! lol

Well my latest cut is just healing.. :) um. and you know... you don\'t really have to test how fast the superglue attatches, do you? the old competition on how long you can hold your fingertips together before they stuck is rather... blonde.

My tin Bitz exploded in my cupboard.

Are you kidding, super glue has sealed most of my cuts.
Which is apparently exactly what it was designed to do - bond skin in emergencies - if the urban legend is to be believed. I\'ve used it for that purpose myself, but it really doesn\'t hold much over half an hour before disintegrating.

just blonde is using \"dullcote\" from the bottle to varnish a miniature and getting disappointed how this ruins colour and contrast.

MOST BLONDE is doing this for years without realizing that dullcote varnish has to be diluted like any other paint...

Dare I ask how?

Using a penknife to cut a dwarf head off the sprue with my other hand holding the sprue below. Knife when through the sprue and onwads into my hand. You could move the entire skin arround the tip of my finger!

oww cuts cuts its inevitable to get them doing this hobby..when I was stationed in Germany I had recieved a pack of jinga blocks so i was using them as a temporary holder..so when it was time to leave ets i started removing them off the blocks..about 5 minis into this I sliced from the top of my nail to the bottom of my nail with a chisel blade..so like most have mentioned I now give them respect its so easy to cut yourself in a heartbeat..I dropped a #11 the other day pow right into the groin area man I flinched like i had been shot..luckily the thing flipped and hit the flat end...I have had near car wrecks hadnt made me jump like that;)

I did glue my entire right forearm to a glass table, and my left hand to a glass at the same time making it impossible for me to get anything to remove myself - all the while at home alone. Spent a great deal of time with a scalpel peeling myself off carefully.

The full story is on here somewhere, but I can\'t remember the name of the thread.

I once spent about half a day sculpting an intricate base out of Sculpey (plasticine) to resemble a deck of a pirate ship with a cannonball splintering into the wooden planks...then I cooked it in the oven so as to harden the Sculpey when I had finished the base.

Only afterwards did I realize that plastic Warmachine bases don\'t really survive that long in the oven.

All wasn\'t lost though, I ended up using the melted piece of slag in a piece of \"rubble\" terrain. Looked totally natural. :)

It wasn\'t originally designed for this but its use as a tissue adhesive is not a legend at all. It was used operationally during the Vietnam war and I have some medical-grade CA in my room, it\'s coloured blue so it\'s easy to spot where it has been used :)

It doesn\'t matter how many times I hear that story. It makes me laugh every time! lol

I\'ve managed to plunge an exacto blade hilt deep into my right thigh. The funny bit was I stuck a Band Aid on it to stop the bleeding. the next day, every time I walked it felt terrible. I spent most of the day in some discomfort every time I moved my leg. I blamed the wound and thought I had done myself serious damage. That night I decided I better look, and pulled off the band aid.

I discovered the pain was caused by the band aid pulling on my leg hairs all day.

I\'ve shaken a paint pot.....without the lid on.

And used a hair dryer to speed drying time, only to melt the plastic base.

lollollol WOW i must be lucky :) Nothing too serious. I\'ve dropped an arm from a space marine under my table. Picked it up and banged my head on the table coming back up.
