Movie Quiz

@NSA Not God.

A hint on this one. Every actor named so far has played a fictitious version of this role ( as has Michael Douglas ).

Anthony Hopkins portrayed a real one. So did Jon Voight. So did Brian Keith. So did Bruce Greenwood.

The God guess will seem funny once the answer is guessed.....

I have portrayed a soccer player, a boxer, a race driver and a mountain climber. Who am I ? Sly stallone?
All in different flicks....I have played football, baseball and basketball. I have skydived, boxed and played the sax. I have portrayed a superhero, a parapalegic, a drug lord and a drag queen. Who am I ? a random stab - denzel washinton?

I am the only woman who has co-starred with Stallone, Schwarzenegger and Seagal. Who am I ? sharon stone?
bloody hell man! all of those are guesses. randon film trivia - jean-claude van dam (?sp) was orginally going to play the predator but was too small for the suit!!

From the way you worded the hint, I\'m guessing it\'s not exactly the same role so I\'ll say US President. (hopkins played nixon, Greenwood played Kennedy and I\'m not looking up the others).

No one is getting the push-ups so I\'ll tell (and remind anyone who saw him do this at the Oscars several years ago)
Jack Palance!

I actually got to sit in a meeting with a casting director who did \"Titanic\" and he said they were looking at him for \"Jack\"... King of the world, baby! :p

The Sesame Street characters Bert and Ernie are named after 2 characters from a classic American movie, which was Jim Henson\'s favorite. One was a cop, the other was a cab driver.

What movie ?

Thats Easy, It\'s a Wonderful Life.

@ Vincegamer, I am pretty sure that was Jack Palance, upon recieving his Oscar in the early 90\'s
Gin

*edit* Rats, should have answered yesterday when I first saw it, and should have read your post above!
:D

@Vince US Presidents are correct
@Gin It is indeed a wonderful life...

A little disappointed at the feedback overall. Thought this would generate more interest....

Well, you need to number the questions for one, and then maybe ask about the movies more than the weird star-crossed Oscars type of question.

e.g. what role was played by both Jack Nicholson and Bill Murray?

e.g. In what film did Robin Williams play an itinerant mariner and who played his love interest?

B
I found the questions really hard at first,I know naaathing about Oscars and what-not but I\'m quite good at who played who sometimes (who isn\'t lol ) give us a couple of easier questions :D reckon more people will get in then :cool: Good one for that American President one,glaringly obvious in hindsight lol Nice one Vincegamer ;) cheers cfwheeler :cool:

hard questions...

I could only come up with 6 acting oscars for the movie JFK (but it has 12 if you include \'other categories\')

and 7 for \'On Golden Pond\'...but it has 8 if you count Henry Ford\'s Honorary Award.

I give up!

As for the city question, Philadelphia, and as for the POTUS, when Kevin Kline played him, what book and by what author was it based. Evade that one. Har, Har.

@Lav Good one on Philadelphia.

8 acting Oscars in total. 2 each for Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington and Jason Robards. Also Joanne Woodward and Mary Steenburgen.

\"Dave\" is based on \"The Prisoner of Zenda\" by Anthony Hope

Did you get anyothers on the quiz ?
