Hi all,
Lately I\'ve found working on my own stuff abit \"meh\" and so most of my SciFi projects have been languishing.
Add to that the site where my project log\'s were posted on has gone bust so I\'ve lost a lot of work and ref / inspirational material.
Anyway I\'m hoping to get a bit of a kick start again by posting here .....
A couple of points before we start tho - my stuff is really all for either my own (or if commission customers) wargaming use. I\'ve never really been asked to do a display piece for anyone and just cant seem to find the time to do one for myself.
Anyway as a few people have asked about how my Chaos predator
Cmon Chaos Predator was painted I thought I\'d start with that.
When we started the project we were looking for a colour scheme that would be easy to apply on an army scale but also look good enough for a bit of a \"wow\" factor. On top of that we didint want to go \"over the top\" with spiky bits. I suppose we wanted a dirty/used look to vehicles and troops. I mean in my view the Chaos dudes aint gonna be big on using soapy water and polishing rags now are they?
So first up are some wip shots.
Original model, primer coated with Tamiya \"Rattlecan\" TS3 Dark Yellow
Next it was base coated with lyanden Darksun
Note everything is brush painted (cept the primer) ...... I\'m too old to be starting wiv one of dose new fangled aribrush thingies .....
cheers
