My Evolving Nude Mary

Since she\'s ... well nude ... I\'ll just post the links. (Uness of course it\'s ok in which case I\'ll edit. Better to get permission than punishment I say.)

Through the various comments I received I managed to update my Nude Mary. A few mistakes along the way (like a little black on my fingers gave her right leg the appearance she was playing in the coal bin) were corrected and the photo shows the context of the base ... being on a nice wood box. (I also darkened the base realizing that the stain was more black than brown on the box.)

My revised NUDE MARY and the original NUDE MARY!

The pic is too small now. Looks good on her base, but she is now too small to see any details and give you a good vote.

I agree about the picturesize. What I really like is that you\'ve used different hues on the skin making it look realistical :)

Maybe I\'m missing something real subtle here...or maybe not. I can see what Avelorn means, but I\'m not sure if it\'s a quirk of the photography. I\'m confused apart from the base.

I have mixed thoughts on the size. I wanted to show her in the context of the wooden box because otherwise the base looks too plain. Now it is clearly just like the woode box. Having the photo slightly smaller than ideal seems to be better than having it slightly larger than ideal.

The flesh tones I used for highlight and shadow look pretty good, except when you get in front of a camera and two reveal bulbs and then there are differences tints and shades that come out blaringly obvious as not being a good triad to use. A number of \"bicini burn\" references on the original photo give a good indication of this.

(Looks like I\'m going to have to buy the really good paints for large scale flesh projects.)

On the other hand I thought I really highlighted the dragon hatchling between shots but the photo doesn\'t show that well. At least the coal dust that resulted when my finger covered with dried black ink dusted her right leg has been completely erased from the mini.

The preliminary results don\'t look good.

Apparently while the comments on the new Mary are in the 7\'s and 8\'s the tithing community (that 10%) that votes only has new Mary currently .1 point better than old Mary. If this is the case I might just delete the new Mary instead of the old one.

I am not a big fan of this mini, but.....

There isn\'t enough contrast between the light and dark making her look flat (or fat). I\'m not sure what the best shading colour would be....

I am sorry to say I gave her a six, I want to give higher but I vote as I see.

Keep working on her though :D
