Yabbadabbadoo!
Right. I have just received a \'review\' set of bases from Scott and I have to say they are fantastic!
I have bought cast resin bases before from both Forgeworld and Epicast:
Forgeworld are IMO a waste of money. The bases themselves are good, but there is so much gating and flash to cut away that they are virtually unusable.
Epicast bases are good. I have had no problems with these and would certainly buy them again. The bottoms of the base do vary however. Some are finished off perfectly and others need flattening down with sandpaper.
Scott\'s bases are easily as good as Epicast and light years ahead of Forgeworld. The industrial bases are my personal fave. They are clear and detailed and have enough interest on them without looking like a \'dog\'s dinner\'. Perfect IMO. The fantasy bases are also well done and have a nice bit of height to them. Minis based on these will stand out very nicely from the throng. The bottoms on these bases were like Epicast, most were perfectly flat, but a couple would benefit from a few seconds with a bit of sandpaper. Nothing drastic at all...unlike the Forgeworld tat that needs half an hour with a dremel:flame:.
Overall, I was very impressed, so impressed that I might actually settle up with him
Scott: If you are going to be knocking lots of these out, why don\'t you send some samples to Harbinger. That should bring you some trade
