My second Banebeasts mini, after my introduction to their range courtesy of their magnificent Chimaera.
This one is uploaded first, still perfecting the Chimaera.

Please, if you do vote, leave a comment, I aren't expecting to exceed your expectations, but at least let me know my failings...

Thanks Guys!

Well, your link goes straight to the pic, not to the voting page. I tried pulling up your gallery but didn't see him there. Has he been approved yet or is he still waiting?

From the photo, I think he's pretty nicely done!

thats a link to the jpg, not a voting link. The voting link isnt in your gallery, either (maybe not approved yet.) If you link to the voting page, we can vote on it before it gets approved.

anyway, its a nice treeman. As it's such a big mini, I think it would benefit from some variation in colour. It's mostly brown at the moment, but you could do things with green-browns, pale grey-browns, warm browns etc etc. That would give it more visual interest.

Link updated (sorry!)

I'm sorry, but there are already 6 browns, 3 greens, and 3 greys in that mini! It IS a tree, and trees do tend to be brown!
I take your point, but I think the camera lost some of the variation

aha - then in that case I suggest working on your photoshop/photography skills :) There are a great many tutorials on this subject floating about, both on this site and elsewhere. It's a somewhat unfortunate fact that on this site it doesn't really matter how good a mini looks in the hand - if the picture doesnt look good then you'll get voted down. I still think the mini could do with some more clearly defined variation in colour - maybe even some purple or stronger greens on the bark? I'm not trying to be arsey here - I appreciate that its a big beast of a model and youve no doubt put in a lot of work on it. I'm just saying what I'm noticing about it. I'm having trouble with colour usage myself at the moment, so that tends to be what I look at in other minis at the mo :)

Looks ok, abit unicolour though.

Think it would help if it got a coat of matt varnish to dull it down

I think a bright color in his eyes and mouth would breath life into him. I do really like the branches, and that is a great looking model.
