For my next trick, I will need to create (as part of the base) a 54mm scale version of an atom bomb in the style of the Fat Man. That's way too big to make entirely out of GS/Milliput/Fimo. Ideas?
Perfect use for small bits of excess putty when doing other sculpting projects! But you can make a core out of anything that the putty will stick to, e.g. wooden coffee-stirrers (which you can obviously get for free) laminated together and then sanded to shape. Should be able to get pretty close to the final size, with only a thin skin of putty necessary to finish off. If you started with wooden dowel you could get away without having to use any putty at all in theory.TrystanGST said:For my next trick, I will need to create (as part of the base) a 54mm scale version of an atom bomb in the style of the Fat Man.
