Need help deciding warpaint.

Looking really nice Enkiel. I wasn't keen on the look of the new savage orc plastics but that group shot of yours looks good. Well done getting the chunky buggers to rank up!

I think the dot style tribal markings was a neat move, I don't recall seeing it used before :good:

I thought the Chieftan's headdress looked a bit candy bright earlier but with the rest of the guys it seems perfectly fitting. Perhaps just tone down the whiteness of the stems & use that for some sharp fine highlights glinting off the fluffy bits?

How do you intend to base them? It'd be a shame to lose the sense of the step forward with foot off ground if you're planning on using anything too thick. Or will they need to be better fastened for gaming anyway?

It's gonna be jungle/swamp based, but its still very far off, as i want to work on a display board, and integrate the base to it. So until i feel confident about it, i aint touching the base. So at the pace i'm going, i'm not expecting to start on the base for at least another 6-8 months.

To break a bit from the monotony of Orcs, i decided to start on my arachnarok.

I'm open to idea on which style i should pick.

An Orb Weaver, nothing special, but the color are superb.

A peacock spider. Very nice color, but i'm affrad it'd be too bright for my Orcs.

to stay true to the warpaint, i googled Australian's spider... since i'm no spider expert, i cant say that all the race shown are from there, but that's what i based my search on.

One thing i like about the jumping spider is definately their eyes. (especially the last one).

It's gonna be a pain to choose which pattern to go with, especially since i own no airbrush, so it'll be all brush work.

I really like the one with the orange-y body, dark red upper legs, and black and white stripped lower legs. I think the orange and red would contrast well with the green of the orcs.
