New Fountain WIP

I just posted a couple of parts from what I call my \"Overly Ambitious Fountain Project.\" I want to have the central column surrounded by four smaller columns, each spouting with jets of water and water shooting from the instruments of the musician figures. I\'m not sure how to go about with the pool enclosure that would hold the water. I\'m thinking of doing it square. Maybe with a Trevi fountain style back wall with niches would be good. The idea is sort of that this is a propagandistic public work sponsored by an old AD&D character of mine, Naldo the Hammer. Any suggestions on the pool?

I think the second one ould well work better...

Are you going to be tiling the bottom? some ind of mosaic design would work pretty cool.

What will you be doing the water with...?
I\'ve been experimenting with solid water a lately and it works cool.

really nice work btw I like it a lot..

I\'m probably going to go with something like the second one, since I like quatrefoil shapes. The base for the center column is three inches across, so I want the pool to be at least twelve inches across. This was originally for the Hirst Arts Design Derby on Voidgamers, but I missed the deadline again, and again this year, too.

I don\'t have a Hirst Arts mold with curved bricks of an appropriate radius. I\'ll have to cut something out of foam core and clad it with something with a texture, like matte board cut into brick shapes.

I\'ll probably do the water like this, with ripples and do it over plaster painted with colors a little darker that those I\'ve used for the stones. Now all I have to do is try to remember how I did that.???

I think the quatrefoil design is the answer. Are all the jets of water going to converge in the same pool? That would look nice. Great work so far though.
