Hi new member here! Ive posted up sone of my Deathwing warriors - feel like im reaching a bit of a plateu in terms of improving - can anyone offer some next level advice? Thanks all
No psychic powers necessary I assure you, obvious if you know what to look for :glasses-cool: To be clear though, it doesn't look rushed, just that you can see signs of faster painting techniques being used - like an overall wash, rather than carefully-applied shadowing which looks smooth, even and neater. Much the same deal if there were a lot of drybrushing, which is a technique that gives fast results but not the best results.ellis_esquire said:@ Einon - Thank you for the slow down comment. I have indeed been rushing this year but have now completed my 15 deathwing warrior army. im quite amazed by your intuition that nailed this so psychically. What gave my rush away specifically? When you say weathering, are you talking about powders as well as chips/battle damage?Layering and glazing I do already but could work some more layers in I suppose.
Not a particular technique, just weathering in general - chipping, scratches, worn paint, dirt, grime, mud etc.ellis_esquire said:When you say weathering, are you talking about powders as well as chips/battle damage?
Need to use unload the brush more then - should be damp, not wet so the paint goes exactly where you want and there's no pooling.ellis_esquire said:Layering and glazing I do already but could work some more layers in I suppose.
