LoL! The cats gave me one of my fondest memories of the castle...besides the poor stupid stablehand that I convinced that I was preparing him some \"Bretonnian tea\" by dropping a pistol shot into hot water and then...umm...stabbed in the back of the head.

We ran into a bunch of cats in a room with some old lady...all I remember is she asked us in rather grouchy voice what we were doing there. The doctor (who normally was the one that thought we should kill everything that moved near us) for some reason decided that he wanted to interrogate the woman...so he was in the process of sneaking around the room when me and the crazy elf noticed that she had little pawprints all over her apron. Given the fact that the place was teeming with Chaos and we thought the cats were creepy, we just drew our guns and started shooting everything.

So...yeah...we never really had to fight the cats cuz we scared them all away. I think I managed to shoot one of them, but those buggers ran really fast. ^_^

..ah....memories...

Actually, my collection is slightly larger then that, I\'m just not crazy enough to photograph it all!:D
Shadizar: Your \'Core\' collection is very impressive, you even have a couple of pieces I missed! But I have the original \"Blue Box Set\" , so I got you beat there. ;)
One of the only reasons my collection is so huge is because I was lucky enough to be working near a Comic shop that was going out of business and selling all their gaming stuff 60% off! The shop was around for years and had tons of old stuff, so I pretty much bought them out!

On Topic: I can assume WHFRP WON\'T be D20 compatible? Damn shame, \'cause I\'ll buy anything that can be used in my D20 campaign; it\'s just too much of a pain converting stuff.
thats not all of my collection. just all that had images online at the time.

i got the images from TSR Archive http://www.flash.net/~brenfrow/

i have close to 400 books, boxeds sets, etc.

Librarian huh?
*passes out vaccuous grimoire\'s*

Yeah yeah so my character wasn\'t very tough....

lol

Omigawd!! LOL!! I didn\'t deal with the cats, but one of my friends had a rough time with a cat - not sure it was even a mutated one!!

And Purple Hands... oh dea, nostalgia.

I hope they\'ve improved the character progression - as I recall it used to be pretty weird get from one profession to another sometimes - like becoming an assassin in order to become a paladin.

Ok, now you gonna make me count all my books (Thats gotta be easier then counting my minis). I got around sixty in my \"Nerd Room\" (as the wife likes to call it), but most of my stuff is in the attic. I hate going in the attic.... scarey things live up there....

But I have the original \"Blue Box Set\" , so I got you beat there. ;)

I have the red boxed set, and the blue boxed set, and the funny green books, as well as the D&D immortals books (gold covers). I also have some of the rulebooks that came before those :). Also countless numbers of adventure modules, supplement books for both DD&, and AD&D 2nd Ed.

I also have no disposable income and a girlfriend who complains about how we dont go out as much as we used to any more.

Funny how that works, neh? :D I remember those books you\'re talking about. I think I had most of those box sets, except for the Immortal box set.

Let\'s see...what geek books I have...umm...back at my parent\'s house I still have most of the AD&D 2nd Edition line and the line that came before that, and a whole bunch of old stuff like Paranoia, Top Secret SI, the old FASA Star Trek RPG, and...umm...various other stuff. Oh...can\'t forget the old Battletech stuff!

Here at my house I have most of the 2nd and revised books for Mage, Warhammer FRPG main book and Apocrypha Now, Warhammer Quest, and...ummm...probably somewhere around 60 or so other books. Course I worked for something like 6 years at Wizards of the Coast in their retail division, so I got stuff at discount.

And all that is nothing compared to my friend who used to do freelance writing. His \"library\" is a small bedroom with floor to ceiling bookshelves on all the walls. I\'m scared of being in that room in the event of an earthquake up here.

Welcome Ghaffasa!

I had at least one of the three original D&D books, before is was D&D. I think it was called Chainmail or some such. I gave it away when the ADD first addition stuff came out. Too bad, who knew back then I\'d be collecting this cr@p 25 years later! Up until recently I had all of the ugly dice that came with the original set, but my wife found them and having no idea what they where gave them to my kids. The only one I was able to find was the D4, my least favourite! Damn kids! They keep getting in the way of my second childhood!:p

P.S. There was a Red Boxed set? I don\'t remeber that. Was that before the blue?

Someone might be able to corrct me if im wrong but.....

There were Red (basic level rules), Blue(expert level rules), Black (master level rules), Greenish (think these were books that added a few extra bits and pieces such as extra armour types) and Gold (*in god like voice* IMMORTAL rules).

Im yet to pick up a copy of the black set.

<has look at everyones book collections and nudges suggestively> :)
