Simon Pegg? Sure, why not! Pretty strange mix of actors. Definitely a few I\'m not familiar with though.
You guys are right though, it looks like they actually put some thought/effort into things so far. Could be decent. This is an odd-number Trek movie though, right? That\'s usually not a good thing
\"Just like every odd-numbered Star Trek movie is crap\"
Simon Pegg, Spaced.
Ohhhhhh, the irony!!!
But I personally think it\'s gonna be pretty awesome. The franchise needed to be totally re-invented to make a good film of it, and taking it mega-big-budget hollywood and getting in a completely new cast is a pretty good way to do it IMHO.
The trouble with all the other films is, transitioning an entire cast from a TV series to the big screen just doesn\'t ever seem to work... I am hopeful.
Though somewhat p*ssed off that after waiting for this for a couple of years the damn launch date isn\'t until May next year!! Just release the damn film when it\'s ready!!!!!!

PS: Ok, gonna raise my geek level here, even for this audience but... does anyone know how (or if) the new film is meant to fit into the existing chronology of the Star Trek universe? ie: is it meant to be before or after \'Enterprise\'? Or have they just said \"Screw everything that\'s gone before, lets boldly go and start from scratch\"??
