New Year, New Projects

Hey everyone. I know it's been a while since I've been posting my projects here. Just haven't really been posting them anywhere except my Twitter.
So I figure with all of the conventions coming up and the commission work I have going, I would start a new log on here to show what I'm working on.

At the moment I'm preparing for Reapercon. I've finally settled on an entry and will begin the clean up today and painting this week.

I'm also still working on the Deathwing project. Finally on the last batch plus the command. I primed the Belial conversion and will begin him this week too.

I also did some WIP on this guy.

Should be fun! Haven't done much painting lately other than Rank and File Terminators.
So I'll be posting updates shortly!

Alright it's been a while. I haven't had much time to paint these last two weeks. In fact the only painting I got done was at Reapercon.
I was working on this little Ultramarine just for giggles while hanging out.

He's just a little TT piece I'm doodling on. ;)

I'll have bigger projects to share this weekend though!

Good to see you back sir. The Belial conversion is very nice. On the UM I would try to define the battle damage a little more. A quite contrasty highlight along the bottom edge often works nicely. Remember to keep it real neat and tight though.

Cheers

Cheers Will! The damage isn't quite done yet, still trying to decide if I'll even get to finish this guy! ;)

Lots to do lots to do!

Although I am trying to convince myself not to buy anything till I paint the mounds of projects I have now.

Hi William! Oh dang it! Of course this year you went to ReaperCon. I wanted to go soooo bad but just couldn't swing the time.

Since the crazy nuts epic saga that was GW. I really hadn't done anything that deserved to leave the paint on it anyway. But I'm sad I missed y'all there. :(

And the minis are looking great as usual!

It's a shame you missed it Kath! It was a good time! I actually took a bronze, and of course afterwards realized I had models to enter into all the categories, not just painters.

Cheers on the comment!

I am in the progress of organizing my projects.
Right now I have a Dwarf bust that I am sending for casting this week.
I have a Blood Angel army, a Deathwing army, a few models from Reapercon swag and a Degra model and an Enigma model.

Hopefully I'll have a comprehensive list soon!

Could be a while before the dwarf bust will see paint! I have a friend interested in casting him.

And I did some painting this morning for Armies on Parade after a phone interview this morning.

Hopefully I can finish this army in time!

That shoulder pad rocks!

I checked into Wargamerscon - looks like I lot of fun! I'm still debating though. Prices are reasonable except the hotels are so expensive in that area. I forgot how pricy Austin is with lodging. ;) So...I'm looking around in the area to see what I can find that's hopefully not a roach motel. If I can find a decent one, I might be able to go.

Cheers Kath!
I know last year I ended up staying on the other side of town for about $100 a night, but it was insanely inconvenient not just for getting to the con each day but also for socializing with other people.

This year assuming it's still available, I intend to stay there! :p

Hey guys, it's that time of year again when I begin to plan and paint my Armies on Parade project.

This year I'll be painting the Sons of Sanguinius.
I've already acquired most of the models for the army.
So by June 29 I have to have the following completed:
1 Chaplain
1 Techmarine
10 Death Company Marines
10 Assault Marines
20 Tactical Marines
2 Rhinos
1 Baal Predator
2 Contemptor Dreadnoughts

I'll also have to complete a 2'x2' board which will be city themed.

I've spent the last few nights assembling the first 5 Death Company marines and the Techmarine. I began painting the first Death Company model as well.

My plan is to go for a high tabletop quality piece and I think this is it. Hopefully I'll be able to paint it.

I've just begun painting his Bolt Pistol, so I'll finish that in the morning as well as his eye lens and the two skulls on his knees. I'll base the entire army once the board is completed and the army is painted.

C&C welcomed and appreciated! I'm open to input on the project.
Cheers

Thanks kath! I was trying to do them all in an assortment of colours! I felt like it would be boring to do them all the same! :)

Haha sorry for the delays guys. Been busy with work the last few days. Anyway here are the finished pictures of the Death Company model. Not sure if I'll give him a little blood on the fist or not, now I just need his Jump pack!
I also started the Techmarine for the army.

I also found this really cool stamp at Michaels lol.

The Raven! Cool!

Can't wait to see what you do with the red. I can't find a mini I painted not long before I took my break. Will had red armor and I actually got it right. He's disappeared I know it was the damned cats! lol!

Anyways...the red is gonna be cool!
