I can confirm it really was good. In fact despite us all knowing (pretty much) how it would end, I was still on the edge of my seat!

I think they worked some of the themes in very well. My only gripe would be that some of the character development was a little quick, but thats not so surprising considering there was only just over 2 hours to cram everything in.

The last section was great, and I\'m pretty sure there will be a few 6 year olds having nightmares :)

There were two obvious inconsistencies with IV, but they are easily explained by the lies told to Luke and Leia to keep them safe.

I\'m gonna see it again and buy the DVD :)
Third time WAS the charm.

i liked it,except for one disapointment. my friend and i sat through the credits hoping to see a teaser for the next film, but there was nothin. guess well just have to wait two more years:(

Now if he can leave this one alone- the serial ends and perfecto. I fear, as you say- revenge of the ewokslol
This was a good one alright! My little one would have been too scared- so this one will have to wait until she is older.

Finally got my chance to see it today. I thought it was excellent. The opening action sequence was a bit too long, true, but other than that I really don\'t have too many complaints. Even the dialogue wasn\'t too terrible. :)

I was a little dismayed at all the *really* young kids there, though. There\'s definitely stuff in this movie that\'s beyond what I think they should see (Anakin\'s conflagration scene being foremost, IMO).

Yeah I wonder if parents realize that this is a PG-13 movie and not another Phantom Menace. There were a lot of kids when I saw it on opening dayand most oftheose were way under 13.

@reverend: Aren\'t two \'made for television\' Ewok movies enough? We don\'t need that, on top of the Ewoks and Droids cartoons. \'Rise of the Ewoks\'? Pah.

Haven\'t seen it. If it\'s 2 hours, already, how long\'s the extended DVD Director\'s Cut Redux going to be?

The Star Wars sextet in 97 hours?

50 person lightsabre duels would probably have our mayor calling in the national guard, here... Sounds too much like a riot.

Anybody who wonders why so many women are buying the \'vibrating force lightsaber\' really needs to go back to school, too.

I have mixed feeling about the movie. First, well, it\'s Star Wars, and I love Star Wars. But on the other hand, there were many disappointments. It felt like Lucas was trying to fit into the last episode too many things in order to explain the development of characters and action. And the movie became too crammed with stuff, which in turn made the path of the storyline seem rather illogical in many aspects. :(

I would have to agree about the movie...It was definately the best of the three.

There were many \'younglings\' in our audience as well, but to be honest, I\'m not surprised at all.

But speaking of which, last year, I went to the zombie movie \'Dawn of the Dead\' and there was some dumb lady there with her FOUR year old. After the movie, the kid was throwing up in the parking lot...Not sure if he was just ill, or very upset by the gruesome movie. I thought about telling the lady that taking such a young kid in there was probably tantamount to child abuse, but I restrained myself... So, I just did like everyone else and shook my quietly in shame....

some parents just dont think. i understand that we cannot keep them in a plastic bubble and protect them from everything that goes on in the world but i think it is best to introduce them to the bad things in the world in moderation.

I can see what you mean though I was did not feel that disturbed by it. Probably because I was too excited about the new movie and already knew what each character would be in the end. I did notice that things went by pretty fast in the movie. I hope there will be a different cut on the DVDs with more info (like with the LOTR ones).
Still, I really liked this movie and think it\'s the best of the six. I also think I should start reading the books now to understand everything that happens between all of the movies.
