Monday and we have the top 10 countdown...and what a surprise four (yes thats right 4) submissions of the same figure by the same artist all scoring over 9...yawn think I will go back to work now.
Nice to see the top 10 is a farce again...

I must have mistaken one of them as being the same entry as they are placed so close together in the ranking...He has actually got 8 photos of this in his gallery (all are over 9), I am not saying it is not nicely done as it is and it is deserving of being in the top 10 but do we really have to see that many shots of it
The different postings don\'t even show that much different detail of it. A montage of two or three angles would be sufficient. Spamming CMON with these many postings, several of which are completely redundant, is bad form and it diminishes my appreciation of the work in question, even though it\'s undeniably good work.

It boils down to this:-
Do you want the Image Moderators to limit the amount of pictures we approve from people?
While as I have pointed out in the past we do advise people to montage their work, not every one either knows how to do this, has the software, or can be bothered.
Add into the mix issues on \"Social Networking\" and external pimping and you do get skewed results.

Yeah, that\'s kinda what I thought.
I wouldn\'t have a problem with the moderators refusing submissions if there is a blatant spamming of posts, like in this case. I mean, some of these posts are almost identical and doesn\'t show alternative angles even. I can accept, although grudgingly, a couple of submissions where the photos are DIFFERENT. But multiple submissions showing the SAME THING... I wouldn\'t have a problem with seeing that being refused.

Ok so to clear this up
1.I acctually dont know how to photo montage pictures plain and simple.
If there are any rules about multiple postings then it should be stated ( i might have missed it )
2 : i would never ever downgrade your work cus of the coments you made man.
3: if you guys are having a problem just get the pictures deleted i dont give a crap i just wanted to share some work that i had done ,, i dont care about ratings and stuff i have been painting since 85 just for the fun of it.

There are a couple doing that .. basically using the galleries as advertising faults.. can\'t blame them for the exposure they get and tyronmagda\'s defense he does remove the images after auction ends and pays a credit to ebay each time he lists them .. Maybe it\'s time that the site had a seperate sales category for sellers like that and charged a flat yearly subscription fee or something like that ...
As for the post in question at the start of the thread it does bug me to see so many pics of the same piece .. fair enough unable to do montages can be excusedbut when the images don\'t really show anything different whats the point.. it pads out the posters top five and therefore overall rankings doing other painters out of their rightful paces.. but at the end of the day its the way it is and we either deal with it or tough luck...
