Ok, I have realised I got a little carried away with my rhetoric when I wrote the above posts, and the language was way over the top. (All were written at unmentionable hours of the morning.) Sorry to have caused offense.
I do however, stand by the conclusions I have reached. A single space marine is small, and therefore not powerful, thus there is a paradox between the idea the art is supposed to evoke (strength, and power), and what effect it actually has on the observer - small, pretty object. I like forge world busts and large scale pieces as one has more opportunity to display expression in the model\'s face for more dramatic impact. I guess my main gripe was with the limitations of the scale after all, not NMM, and I brought in NMM as a side issue.
