Ehy guys!! I give an idea! :idea: why don\'t we post pics of our REAL first mini? THE FIRSTYFIRST :D mini... the mini from all started... and so on lol...

my first mini was a dwarf standard bearer i painted 2 years ago for my army ^^

yeah but i have to say for justice i painted airplanes models... so i was a little bit more confident with colors and pencils...

Some of us have been painting for a LOT longer than 2 years... not that \"we\" have improved much for most of that time (largely due to not having CMON until 2001).

Hence, it would be impossible for me to show my first mini, since it is long gone and I don\'t even remember what it was. Probably RAFM or Grenadier though, painted with Testor\'s enamels.

My first bunch of mini were for D&D and were used for conversions years ago. I will break out the bits box and see if any survived.

I agree. Some of our Noob years are too far gone to remember, or care.

But if I must, I think mine were Ral Partha or Grenadier. And they were painted in testors too.

i believe mine was a space marine ( i kno i am one of 1000s lol )

well i think it wanted to be a ultramarine but something seriously went wrong lol. sorry i dont have a pic because i no longer have the model

Hey Tony, that dwarf\'s actually not bad! The unpainted flock grass is kack but the mini itself ain\'t half bad for a first go.

I AM always serious about getting submissions though. Just remember, the old and new both have to be painted by you and must be the same mini (either literally or a new one though stripping the old is preferable as you get to work with the malformed chunk of lead again...)

That really is my first one, painted in...1997 I believe in my little single dorm room in college. WAY before I learned about drybrushing :)

Zaph, I\'d redo her, but I actually keep her close to me when I paint, it\'s good inspiration and a lot of nostalgia, so I don\'t really want to strip it! If someone could find another copy of the mini however I\'d definately do one now for your crappy mini or not! She\'s hard to track down nowdays, I think.

And all of you have first minis that look way nicer than mine!!!
