\"Reality\" shows. Pah!
\"Survivor\" -- has nothing to do with surviving, and won\'t, until each player is given a knife, a flare gun, and set loose in the wilderness. The last one to fire their flare off in surrender is the winner.
THAT would be a show worth watching.
\"Who wants to marry a millionaire?\"
Have any of the rich guys actually been rich, yet? The whole show\'s a big fat joke. \"Who wants to marry an out of work carpenter?\" would be just as interesting. And more accurately titled.
Fear Factor -- this one\'s actually pretty good, sometimes. Seeing the average joe try to do stunts that look like a heck of a lot of fun to try. But stop making them eat \'old moldy food\'. That\'s boring.
Blind Date (and the entire genre) -- WHO CARES???? Blatantly staged scenes. Who goes on a first date to a hot-tub spa for naked foot massages, followed by dinner at the hippest club in the city of LA, and some kind of extreme sport as a topper? Let\'s see a real first date! Dinner and a movie, filled with horridly awkward conversation, and the guy trying really hard not to make an ass of himself.
I\'m going to stop this rant about anti-reality tv before it really gets going.
