Thanks guys - can only take credit for the colors on the bases though, the minis themselves are more or less straight off the box art. I did some slight changes, but the basics are the same.

Okay, after a little vacation, then building terrain and fooling around with other things like upgrading my work space, it's back to painting WoK:

Not a whole lot to show off yet, just some simple base coats in the works. I'm mostly copying the colors from the concept art - making my own choices for tones and so on, but other than that I'm inside the box. I'm trying to consider how I can make some of these guys stand out a bit more - I want some energies on the weapon of the grey guy in the corner, if I can pull that off. Also, I'll take suggestions on anything extra I can do on the Greathorn (the big lug in the front). His size might be enough to let him stand out though, we'll see.

Heh heh, thanks Gandalf, it is because I cannot keep my mind on any one thing for more than five minutes. :) I do not have ADHD, but it can be hard to tell at times.

Happy to BE back at 'work', also happy that you reminded me of my WIP! :)

I've progressed a little, done with base coat and mostly done shading on these two ladies now:

These are perfect for ya to take the painting into display zone a bit more often . Differences b/n display/TT. Take the shading about 5 applications of shades going down to black or black mixed in with the last shade color. Each of the 5 color changes should have about 10-14 micro applications always using small increments and making you mid tones midtones have midtones. Lol same for highlighting up and after a bit linger lengthier time getting these applications over and over viola instant display. As the look great already and your still in the early phases. Btw good job great to have ya back and keep an eye in my w I p as ill be finishing up the witchling stalkers and moving in to the warrior priest with the hammer . These will be the start if the more clean off the showroom finished minis.;)

These are along the lines 'really for table top but trying to practise for display' quality... Just because you said it now, I'll give them an extra layer of shading before moving to highlights. So while not ten colors times 10-14, it'll be seven maybe eight colors a handful of times. You managed to draw out my motivation a bit now - I'll try to do that for the Blood Engine I'm doing for the forum contest, it is a big model and thus good to practise such things on.

And no need to tell me to check your WIP - I follow it religiously already. ;)

Thanks Tero - and an extra thank you to you, BAM - without your little nudge there, this wouldn't have looked quite as good:

Maybe not I'm *quite* a Jedi yet, but this is a tad bit than what I was aiming for.

Now watch me ruin it as I try to paint her eye. :p

Thanks Moe! I really wanted to finish this girl tonight, but it has grown real late... so I guess I need to wrap it up tomorrow instead. Last couple of shots:

I guess it would be good to take a fresh look before finishing, too. :)

These are from the ATER collectible miniatures Kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/942898773/ater-collectible-miniatures-series/description) - and man, they are looking great. Truly the stuff nightmares are made of.

Very pleased with this Kickstarter, painfree, good product and delivered on time unlike others (I'm looking at you, CMoN!). These go into storage for now, I'll bring them out one day when I want to paint something out of the ordinary for a contest or whatever.

Good stuff there in the Kickstarter. Looks like a lot of fun to paint. Also your Wrath of Kings stuff really looks like you pushed your painting and it came out great. More WoK next or these kickstarter figs?

More WoK. Going to finish my Nasier force before doing anything else, might do some clean-up inbetween - I still have a bunch of unfinished minis in my shelf.
