oistene's WIP - a mostly dead space

Nope. i have played Warmachines once and liked the mechanics, so bought a starter set and rules for it and Hordes. The reality is that my gaming time is non existent. I try to hit a con every year to get some gaming in, but usually end up playing historic battles at them. I am banking on my two year old to come to the nerd side, so I have someone to game with in a few years.

i have some friends that I board game with, but the extent of their interest is Settlers and Axis&Allies.

Your skeletons came out fabulously! And the other guys are also looking good - it's great being able to finish something and clear the backlog (although I try to limit myself to a maximum of two paint jobs on the go at any one time or nothing would get done! ).

Because I don't wargame I don't tend to have units that need painting all in one go. But I may try my hand at speed painting something just to practice.

Real nice stuff all around, Oist the painting machine. I really love the unit man do you do commission? I want one. Or exchange for a necron monster? PM me. Don't have to be that many 5 will be sufficient.

Did bases for them before I left for work this morning, so generally all that's missing is the OSL, varish and some final highlights. Hope to get them done tonight, so they are ready for gaming on Sunday.

I'm generally being slack at posting these days... but I have NOT been slacking at painting! I've gotten so much stuff done, here's a quick round of pictures of some of the stuff I've been doing:

This bunch are puds for Dark Age - I'm doing them as part of Beeker's Dark Age challenge - paint 1000 points of Dark Age by November 13th. This is 160 points ... a bit more to go.

Also, last week I finished my whole command group for Warmachine, without taking a single picture! I'll try to correct some of these wrongs soon, I just like painting better than taking pictures...

Thanks people! The bases are from Secret Weapon - like all of their bases, they are very, very cool.

Dark Age has an Alpha Pud or something like that -it hasn't been released yet, but there is the 'mother' pud, the POD - that's what I am painting now. The slightly larger fellows in the upper right are broodlings, and their big brother is being painted alongside the POD. So more ugly is in the pipeline.

The bases are from Secret Weapon - like all of their bases, they are very, very cool.

Adding them to my list of awesome places to check out once I get simple basing right.

So more ugly is in the pipeline.

But creatively painted ugly!

That's because you are relatively new to it (if I'm not wrong). Let some years pass, you'll have a nice mark on your finger and miss your ring if it is not on it like it happens to me xD

Thanks guys! Just a quick update here to show what I am working on, sorry for the huge and crappy iPad pictures. This frugly is nearly done... Not sure if I should try to stripple his shell or something to add interest. I got another beast in the loop, but it seems that his picture wasn't transferred. I'll share it later.
