Nice job on these guys, I too like the green on the metal. Looks very eerie and Cryx.

Now you have something new to paint!

Those look really cool. It looks to me like the one on the right needs those little holes in the pipes on her/its back darkened, though.
I really like them, and, yeah, that green metallic look is awesome!

Thanks peeps, they did pretty well on the table too! Arch, I pretty much use the exact same approach Demi describes in his blog: http://www.demihumanpaints.com/2015/11/skitarii-skirmish-55.html

I guess what I do here is closest to glazing or tinting. Depends on how impatient I am :) I use a mix of GW Waywatcher Green glaze and Lamenter Yellow glaze, first more green and later more yellow. In the last layer, I mix in a little 'Ardcoat, that returns the shine to the model, which is particularly good on metals.

Also - Toad, I think that is a reflection of the light, but I'll look into it, it is easily fixable. Flu, I saw that - I'm getting two! :D

Thanks for answering my question. It's a really effective technique on these models and I'll have to keep it in mind.

I won't buy into more Cryx, but finally a step forward from the horror of restic (and for some, metal)

Painting keeps my shit together, Digga! No job, no wife, all that remains is paint paint paint! It sounds awful, but I actually feel better than in a long time. :)

Well, mostly it is for the better. :) I do at least hope the unemployment ends soon, lots of time to paint is good but lack of money is bad. Haven't been able to secure any commissions the last few weeks either, might have to work a little on that. The singularity isn't a problem, no woman = lots of time for me.

Not happy with that picture, though, better post a new one later today.
