Nearly done with both the Howls. Need to do weapons, eyes, and a little fix-up here and there, and they are ready.

Now... how to do the eyes? I'm not even sure what kind of animal these gals are supposed to be.

Im sure I've seen one or two women look like these the next morning !
your work is as ever mightily impressive. Would a red glowing eye be too much ?

Thanks guys! Galfdalf, I'm pretty sure I've dated one of them... I was considering red eyes too, glowing might be a bit much... but... I'll try something.+--

Thanks guys! Struggling to get the swords right now... there's something about the way I do that, it takes forever and I just mess it up. Other than that, they are finished and I'm moving on to the next two in the bunch. Pictures later!

Done more work on the big guys now, and started on the Blood Engine for the contest:

If you are wondering what those white streaks on the Greathorn's sword is, it is just me trying stuff out... I think I want to try to make some kind of fiery energy going on, but I'm not quite sure how I want it to look like yet. Tried looking for references, but didn't find anything I liked yet.

Glad you took my advice it's funny most of the time people say oh yeah I'm gonna do that and the reality is "they don't" not because they can't but because their in a routine and they forget. So far be it from me to remind you oist! Glad to be of service!! L

Well, I don't really have a routine! I didn't completely follow your advice on the first two, the shadows were already done. And I used fewer colors and layers on the highlights. But I did step up a bit! Taking it a bit further with these other guys. Funny how it went from 'I'll dip these' to 'I'll try my best on these'. :p

Thanks guys! Whole family but me has summer vacation now, so I am trying out a new work flow. I run into the office every once in a while and throw on a layer or so. Works well, things get done even if I cannot sit down, and my washes are allowed to dry properly.

Shading is more or less done on the Greathorn. Rathor needs a bit more, but he is also getting there.

Horn-boy is shaping up. All done with the flesh now, though it has a lot of details like scars, veins, piercings and bone studs, that will be my next task before I move on to his head, horns and face.

Thanks Tero! Yeah BAM, I never intended it, but one can see some of your influence in my work. :) What you described was almost what I had in mind, how does this look?

Maybe a bit too white? Maybe other purple glaze, or some Bloodletter Glaze?
