Great find Zab. If I'm doing the size conversions right, for the same price as the Secret Weapon pigments you get 7x the product.

All right, got the pigments in! I'm still going to use dry pigments, but Demi's approach is permanently added to my box, the texture got a lot better this way. Here's a shot:

This didn't satisfy me either, I right away knew that I wanted some scratches. I added some low-contrast scratches; and now I think I am pleased. Some minor adjustments here and there, and then I seal:

Going to want some slime effects, so I'll put them aside while I wait for UHU-glue to arrive.

Your general lighting is becoming really neat Oist soon ya going to have to incorporate more zenith light in your pieces it will bring your work a notch or 2, really love these dudes how they coming.

Thanks guys! Yeah Tero, I do consider it a little, but I'm not fully there yet. At the moment I am only doing gaming pieces, and I feel that it is less important/useful on those, but I keep it in my head and occasionally give it some attention. However, I intend to do pure display in the future, and it is occasionally useful on gaming pieces for that extra notch, so yeah, it's in my head. I do feel that I need a little more practice on my blending and paint control before I really take it to the next level though.

That said, the Howler is coming up. It is big and should really have some dramatic lightning, so I might give that a shot there.

The rim is somewhat obvious, but then so are the spikes. Personally I'd darken them down slightly.

These are really interesting looking sculpts by the way.

At the moment, I'm leaning towards pulling up the upper rim, and glaze all of it with GW glaze. That should provide a good middle way. Remember, Arch - these are for table top, I want the contours of the mask to show even at arms length. :)

Hey Oist , with that mask on the dress dude I would shade the rim , bring the purple from the bottom corner where the two rims meet out to nearly white below his mouth and above his centre forehead. Same with the spikes really show up the shape of the helmet .
Nice work all the way dude the hilights on the upper dress are spot on ...

Doing a little more complex basing for my next project... (which is the end of project Brood, 790 out of 1000 points now!)

Hmmmn, If you're intending to represent this guy as dead then there's still too much tension in the body.
Without conscious/semi conscious control the body "slumps" dropping the shoulders, legs and hands.
Problem is that is going to take a lot of cutting and converting.
