oistene's WIP - a mostly dead space

Yes maen said it right. The slime should have a natural dip to it. But if your happy with it and it's to fragile to tweet then I say it's good as is. I have never used the stuff so I don't know if heating it up a little will melt it down a hair.

Fantastic work man. To me it seams like he just picked a piece of human out of his teeth and just noticed something near, hence the stance.

Okay, once I painted it, it started to sag a little. Cool, I thought, looks good. I left it to dry, and when I came back, it was taut again. Damn, I thought, and tried to pull it down again while adding more paint.

And then it broke.

It is relatively easy to fix broken UHU, I discovered, but it is a bit annoying since it means adding more and more UHU. So I finished it up, and this is where I leave it:

(I'll look into making a sagging effect and using plastic at a later date, thanks for the input everyone)

*high five* at least you tried. It still looks awesome though. Now I'm seriously doing double takes near the swamp.

He turned out marvelously oistene! I think he's your best work I've seen so far. I couldn't not comment and let you know that.

*shhh I'm still a ninja ArchArad*

Thanks for all the praise, folks, Howler takes his place on the shelf while he awaits being photographed along with his army. In the meantime, I've brought brush to the airbrushed minis. This is what I am working on at the moment:

Only early stages yet, basecoats and some early washes, nothing to write home about, but we'll get there if I find some painting time. The undead guys are quick to paint, Darragh Wrathe (the guy with the two versions, both on horse and foot) will take longer, lots of cool detail going on there.

Got a little work in on these boys last night, but I forgot to take a snap. Will fix later. Wife is working this weekend, means I can paint a lot. Diggs, I only play one faction, so no Batman for me! I notice his Bane-ness, though. Gets confusing since banes are a troop type in Cryx.

I took some proper finished-pics of my Brood - however, most of them ended up sucking, I do not feel that they are up to snuff for the gallery. Instead, I'll drop them here, can take new ones for the gallery later:

Now that is all around bangarang brother. I wish I had an awesome army or group like this. You did a great job keeping them all cohesive.

The third miniature beginning from the last one (the one that resembles a spider standing on 2 feet) it's almost cute xD
Big yellow monster with it's bloody hand, and the humanoid throwing a that green snail without home are my favourite. <--- Sry for the descriptions I described them as I could since I do not know the game they are used in , and thus do not know their "history". xP

Taking photos is my bane. I tried a new approach, dropped the lightbox, used the kitchen light and a fancy app. I think I didn't use the fancy app well enough, also, the light in the kitchen was too yellow. I'll try again later, I want some of these in my gallery. :p But thanks for the praise all, I'm pretty happy with these, even more so with actually getting the full force painted. I actually think that is a first for me.

Going back to my Warmachine army now. Managed to finish up these guys last night:

Picked up some tricks from Demi's tutorial http://www.coolminiornot.com/forums...uman-s-DemiWIP&p=797316&viewfull=1#post797316
which boosted my OSL quite a bit, really pleased with it this time around, in fact so much that I'm going to go back and tweak some of my old work.

My boy Venethrax is still in WIP:

Someone had a good painting weekend. I approve! :)

The OSL looks great on your Warmachine figures - really good work.
