I respect the fact that you take the time to reply. It seems many skilled painters attitude towrds beginners is \" Dont bother me kid, go figure it out yourself\", but im sure everyone hs been at a place where they asked \" hey how\'d you do that?\" I personallly have enjoied mentoring newbies and watching them grow. why hoard knowledge?

Fair enough, there are whole threads devoted to some peoples\' use of this hobby for strictly profit. But luckily there are a few people involved in painting mini just because they love it.:)

I have a friend who won\'t submit here that is colour blind, people say my warmaster stuff is good but this guy beats me everytime at the comps with his painting he recently did a skaven army all 2000 points of it with NMM which he taught himself to do.

I think those that are colour blind see the shades in a different way and therefore have a better understanding of it than those of us that take colour for granted.

i guess he must have a different type because colours just confuse the hell outof me. stupid hobby to pick then eh?!!

It really can be, if you know the exact paints and you try them and it turns out a bit crap then at least you know it\'s not the colours! lol

i was told green/brown which i think is the same thing. but it seems to creep across into different colours. some blues and grey look kinda weird too. its hard to describe. sometimes when i see a black guy/gal and they\'re not very dark, they look green. mad. stupid

Maybe it\'s that David Icke thing. You might be seeing lizards or something.

How does different light affect you? Neons and all that. Does it get even more confusing?
