Painting minis for a living is hardly sustainable as a long term, sole source of income with prices running riot in the western hemisphere.
If you charge even minimum wage per hour, a halfway decent miniature is going to cost 50 quid plus the price of the figure. A lot of money for a tiny painted metal ornament. The market is saturated with sellers as well. Tough times.
