Damn, I\'d be late for my own funeral. Still got those touch-ups to do before doing the hair and the armoured bikini, and the skull... and her pony...

Well, Klute, it was brilliant. I\'m pleased with what I\'ve got so far, though not completely so. It\'s certainly taken a lot longer than the flesh on anything else I\'ve done, and I\'m still caught between wanting an army painted and pride in single miniatures. Your method is definitely one for the toolbox. :)

Thanks Mark!

It is really heart warming (and that is not a phrase I use often) when a member freely shares their skills and expertise with others. :D

@Modderrhu......just throw the pics in here when you get done and drop me a pm to make sure I dont miss them.I just meant I wouldnt be posting any more steps myself but would still keep an eye out for the \"stragglers\":D

@Vincegamer.......thats the idea.I use this technique on nearly everything for a smooth blend and finish.NMM benefits from it too.Just set your midtone and galze down to the shadows and up to the highlights.

@Finn.....my pleasure mate.

so what I need to do..i think i need to go closer to pure white for the thinnest glazes for the final highlights, then maybe some darker washes in the recesses as not enuff gradient shading anywhere :(

I am happier this time than my last result though but still need some time on it before it will be ready to do the clothing i think..

WHat u say Klute? :)

I had decided what to tell you to do before I saw what you wrote at the end.
You know already what to do:D

Its nice and smooth but not very deep, especially for the figure.
I would apply some very thin washes to increase the depth of the shading then as you say apply some further highlights.
As the paint is so thin you can keep tweaking it like this until you like it.

Written Tutorial?

Everyone........I regard the tutorial over really.I keep popping in to tie up loose ends with people posting etc.

Im on compiling the tutorial for the article section,shouldn\'t be long.
It might be easier to follow to with the steps being alongside each other.

Hi Klute!! I\'m sorry I missed this class, but I did plan to print it out and follow it. Then I had the bright idea to read through it, pick out the pertinent bits and copy them to MS Word, then got to page 8 and kicked myself when you said you were writing a tutorial.

I looked under the \"articles\" area, but I don\'t see a tutorial. Did I miss it or does it still need to be written? (I still have most of your \"class\" in a MS Word document if you need it to jump-start the article if it\'s not done yet.)

My one request, if it\'s not already written - please print it out before you submit it and see if the page breaks are in logical places. Thanks for doing this class!!

Sonia always sold more cookies than the other girls in her troop.

I suppose some of you may have been wondering how my class project turned out. I finally finished her (well, finished enoug).

I had a real pain with getting red hair.
If anyone has a tutorial I\'d love to see one.

There isn\'t much here but skin, but for what there is, I tried to inject my own brand of humor. If you like, let me know.

If you want to see her backside (you know who you are :innocent: ) go

and vote while you are there.

Very nice Vince, regardless of timing (I have yet to finish my 2nd mini from this class!) I voted and commented.

My second mini from this class is finished, and I will post it in a couple of days.

(I actually finished my second mini first, but hey...)

Nice skin there.
Couple of points.
Put a very small white light reflection on the lower lip,it makes a big difference.
Also I think the bikini would benefit from a darker lining, not black though, maybe a mid brown tone.

And if you finished this one second then wouldnt the other be the first one you finished secondly.???
lol

Where specifically do you mean? I have a pretty dark line along the crotch and across the chest. Do you mean on top of the breasts or above the hips? I think I only darklined the shadowy underparts.

Above the straps on the pants look less defined than the underside. Also the bra line between the breasts looks light.
You have the figure though so it could be trick of the light.
I would probably do the boot tops darker too.
Another would be a very thin dark brown line between the lips to define the mouth more.

I\'m not touching those lips again!

IRL the mini is shorter than the boot on the screen. I had a hell of a time getting any line between her lips without obliterating the top lip.
I may do the white dot but no more line.

Project #2

Well, here\'s the second mini I did for the class. I didn\'t post any pics before now because I entered him in the Total Testosterone competition. (I have restored the \"before\" pic to page 2 of this thread)

As I may have said before, I bought this guy when he was new, around 1988, and never got around to painting him because I was intimidated by the sheer breadth of skin. Of course back in \'88 I would have done him in 1 coat of Testors Enamel \"Flesh\" right out of the jar. Blech.

Thanks again for the class, Klute.

Wasn\'t this class, and its several revivals, over ages ago?

Already voted and commented, mighty Vince of the Games!

Voted already VG

Vike......yeh might be a good idea to lock this one down so as not to overlap the other one now.
No offense to anyone wanting to post. Just drop me a pm if you have any questions.

Yup. Lets have a finishing chapter here. Still available to look through and copy along, but Klute\'s got a good point.

Closed!
