My next project is rest of my Tau army:). With some side projects of course! But my airbrush is operational now and I can basecoat models easily. Tau is sort of a 'dirt work' for this noble forum. I don't know if somebody interested about it. ;)

Sorry for lack of updates, I was very busy last weeks/months.

@Canny, thank you for support. You have in mind this, aren't you?

I did not leave hobby. This is my test model with battle damage. It is first time I try battle damage on the miniature. I tried to achieve realistic look. The power fist is usually covered by bower field, that prevented scratches but most of time is powered of and surface is damaged by normal manipulation. The colors are almost same as I used for my tau.

Last finished unit from tau army is their follows Kroots Karnivore Squad. I tried about speedpaint, but as usually I do not settle with low quality and painting hours grow too much.

And at last only one true WIP in this message, the sensor head of the tau battle suit Commander.

Please, let me know what do you think.

Agreed, really cool stuff. I love the markings and little design details you're added to the tau and kroot figures. The battle damage you've got on the battle suit is also spot on. That's going to look fantastic when it's all finished.

Thank you very much for support! I appreciate it.
@Darthmarsh: Feel free to vote to all my models here :)

And some progress on the Commander. It is work of few evenings. I added more scratches, because I think, the legs of battle suits are in more stress than a head. What do you think? Feel free to post critique or comments!

@monkeyman7x: thank you

@Canny: Thank you! I hope, the bathroom is in the perfect condition. :)

I have small progress on the commander. The torso have basic highlights. The less precision on some highlights is caused bad casting. Adding battle damage will hide most of edges so I do not plan to fix that.
Basecoat is made by airbrush with some decent shading. My sept color is Bleached Bone(Screaming Skull in new). Because The green is shaded, bone must be shade too. I using mix of Screaming Skull or Ushabi Bone with Calthan Brown and Shakebite Leather. Thanx for support, stay tuned! :)

Thank you Zab!

I had some time yesterday. I added some scratches, battle damage and freehands to the torso of the commander. I hope you like it and you let me know about it. If not, anywhere, please let me know too. I have some doubts about the place of some damage so some critique is welcome.

I'm sorry, I did not used this friendly forum more often. Reasons are many, my bad English, slow progress or weeks without painting.
But last weeks was full of the hobby because I decided visit Golden Demon competition this year for first time. I finished the paint work on the Battlesuit Commander with some story telling base and I started work on my second entry Hammerhead diorama. After many hours of preparing the hull and the position over base I started paint with airbrush and decided I have not much skill to finish it in time and in my best quality. Friends from my local hobby community urged me to take Kroots and Dragons Slayer so it was my backup plan. I prepared simple wooden platform holding Kroots together as unit and special scenic base for the dwarf. In mind that tattoos are too flat I did some new highlights on the dwarf's skin. The beard and mohawk took some highlights too. And I was prepared for the action.
I must say, I'm in hobby for four years only. It is only few months I called winners of the Golden Demon as freaks(in good of course:laugh:). So I did not expect many from my entries. I hoped in one final place for the commander. That was the plan. And it failed. I saw numbers of great entries and all my hope quickly disappeared. Commander didn't take a final. I took some feedback from one of the referee about the commander and he agreed with my suspicion about low contrast on the armor. I will post some pictures of the commander later.

Maybe luck of the beginner caused my backup plan worked better. Kroots as a W40k squad and Dragon Slayer went through the cut. I was very happy for that. But I completely lose words after I heard my name between names of the trophy holders. It was like a dream. My Dragon Slayer took silver in the Warhammer Fantasy Single miniature category, madness!

It was fantastic weekend. I met a lots of great people, I saw even more great models on my own eyes. I made a ton of photos and heard English most in my life. Thanks for support on this forum, I hope it is not the end.

I still do not believe what's happened, so I had made this:
