Pictures of your workspace, miniatures, etc

The picture I posted before was from when I first moved my station after my ex moved out. Here are some photos taken tonight.

The cabinet in my closet where most of my unpainted lead is stored. There are also 6 of those plastic drawers full of random basing/photo/misc carp.

You can\'t see much of it partly because of the fact that the angle is bad and partly because of the ginormous cat in the way. That Sophie the Sofa cat.

The drawer tower and basing storage. The fake plant at the edge of the shot is basing too. I cut bits of the leaves off for tall leaves on stuff like cattails. I would have shown you more of the room here but I noticed theres some laundry (including a bra) on the floor.

The cabinet in the hall that holds randon crafting stuff and boxes to send things in. Say hi to Sophie again.

Under the table where I put large things I\'m not currently using but do on occasion.

And finally, the paint table. The \"In/Out\" tray on the top of the shelves hold my WIP\'s. Some of them anyway.

Ronin you have just inspired me to move my painting area.

Seeing all that stuff packed into such a small area done well makes me think I can move my painting area from the dingy basement, up into my computer room which currently just has 2 desks 2 bookshelves and my PC in it.

I will try to remember to get before and after pics ;)

Finished this big move.

Here\'s a few before pics of the dingy basement painting area:

A huge improvement I think. Thanks Ronin for the inspiration. I didn\'t have nearly as much stuff to pack into my small room but you still got the idea in my head.

Looks really cool and you can see your minis a lot clearer then on my shelves. My Girlfriend has decided to turn our dining room into a purpose built craft room for her so hopefully she\'ll take her boxes off the shelves and I can start thinking of buying new stuff to fill up the space:rolleyes:

LOL

Once I had everything all lined out my wife made it very clear that I am not to buy any more minis. She was shocked by how much unpainted minis I had. The stuff shown doesn\'t even include gaming minis that came with games that I still have in the boxes (Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, Space Hulk, Advanced Space Crusade, Advanced Heroquest, Adeptus Titanicus, etc). I didn\'t point that out to her.

The shelves not shown as well as a closet contain materials for my wife\'s hobby/craft. She also used to work in the basement but in the finished part on my gaming table, now we share the painting/computer room which works out well as one of us can be online and the other can be working on their hobby.

My completed and painted stuff is still stored downstairs by the gaming table for easy access during play.

Well I wasn\'t directing it at you. More at the Wife.

So, You tell her that I said that she should be happy that what you have is a \'low\' amount and all you stuff is organized, compared to the rest of us slobs.

Too organized for that matter. How do you pull off a 48hr rule, with all your lead in nice, neat, COUNTABLE, rows?

(48 hour rule. This rule was established on March 5, 2002 and is as follows: As a reward for a fellow sneaking new and inexpensive cylinders into the Crisis Center and also escaping any female wrath that might accrue from said purchase, the fellow may make up any story he wishes after 48 hours regarding the acquisition. In other words, she gets 48 hours to notice the purchase and complain. If she misses her window, you are home free.

“This old thing,’’ you might say, when, after a week, she finally does notice, “that thing has been here since July.’’ )

I always like threads like this one because I can show my girlfriend everyone elses unpainted miniatures so she knows I\'m not the only one :D Plus she can\'t complain to much look at the amount of stuff she has and never does anything with :] But I\'d never dare say that to her face...

This is my recent upgrade from the dining room table. Being in the guest room, it sometimes means a temporary return to the dining room, every once in a while.

Here\'s another entry from the anal retentive end of the spectrum. These pics are a couple of months old. The Trollbloods are finished now -- you can see the final result here.

Moving to London meant I had to restrict my workspace quite a bit. So that\'s what I came up with. Nice and tidy (at least that\'s what I\'d like to believe).

So here I am taking pics of my workspace instead of painting that Dwarf. Let\'s see if I have any good excuses.... Well I did some vacuum cleaning and I also ironed two shirts (I hate ironing  ). I didn\'t have any time left to paint. Honestly...
