Okay...I know this sounds really sad...but I have just watched \'Pirates of the Carribean\' for the first time:duh:

(Cornwall does exist in a strange sort of time warp......)

Johnny Depp is God! His Keith Richards inspired Jack Sparrow is absolutely fantastic. I didn\'t think I was gona like this film, but I was mesmerised.....

Reaper\'s Warlord game has a faction called Resig\'s Revenge. It is loosly based on undead mercenary pirates. Just in case you wanted to paint up some zombie pirates, Steve.

Yeah Depp is one of my favourite actors!

There were some one-liners that ruin this movie a bit however.. \"try wearing a corset..\" or whatever she said.. and the plot was a bit silly sometimes. But Jack Sparrow made it worth seeing. What do you think of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas?

Better late than never...

Depp is indeed cool as a pirate! I also think Geoffrey Rush is excellent as the undead captain. He can be evil in an extremely charming way!

I\'m not sure what to think of Fear and loathing... I was completely compelled by it, which makes it a good film I guess, but at the same time I was quite disgusted by it at times. I think both Depp and Benicio del Toro make excellent performances, though.

That movie was freaking awesome, Finn. I love the transitions whenever they step into the moonlight, Chez Cool.

It is on my list of favourites that I watch regularly. I love Deppes performance as Jack Sparrow I also think Orlando Bloom plays his part well. I love the swordplay in the blacksmith\'s workshop.

@Ritual: i liked it very much, it was confusing and a bit disgusting, but it was something with the atmosphere that just made the whole thing stick together. I really like Terry Gilliams movies. Yes EVEN Munchausen!

I always kind of liked Johnny Depp\'s acting, but when I watched him in this movie I was amazed. He was genius in it, and absolutely stole the movie from everyone else.

Just recently in another thread, someone mentioned (I think it was you Finn) on how Keith Richards may play Jack Sparrow\'s father...and how that is who Depp \'mimicked\' in creating his character. That was the first I had heard of that, so I went back and watched it again. Even more impressive!!

Depp is just hot! :wow: I\'ve always thought so ever since 21 Jump Street (anybody else remember that show?) I just worry about this next role in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Granted, a Depp/Burton film has yet to do poorly, but the previews make it look a bit cheesy..

And, of course, Orlando Bloom was hot too! But then again, I\'ve always had a \"thing\" for elves!

Then again the book is a bit cheesy, and since they are trying to stay close to the book seems normal to me I do have to say that charlie and the chocolat factory was one of my favorit book as a child so I\'m looking foward to this, and I think Depp will do great in that role :flip:

OH yeah, i remember that show. I thought that Richard Grieco would be the \'hot\' one that would make the crossover to movies...shows you what I know about \'hot\' guys!

I remember too telling this lady at work that she should call me Johnny Depp from then on. Because the name just sounded so cool, she had no idea who he was at the time. Now she is almost fanatical about him...lollol

between the awesome fencing scene in the beggining and its the only movie where i find depp hott (i think its the eye liner) it was a very good movie

hummmm i wanna watch it again.

orlando is just ok...everyone thinks im crazy but i dont find him very sexy. just ok.

but he is an awesome actor and pirates is awesome with the 2 of them in it.

and finn...at least you got to see it. better late then never!

I was very, very wrong. He deserves an Oscar for that performance and if I was Keith Richards, I would be like a dog with two kn*bs

I love the guy who plays the dead pirate captain too...he played Walsingham in one of those Elizabeth I movies. Walsingham is a big hero of mine and he played him to perfection....still can\'t remember the blighter\'s name however:duh:
