I didn\'t see Pirates until it had been out on DVD in the States for a while, putting it around December 03/January 04. After watching it for the first time with a small group of friends, and loving it, I started joking about how great the zombie monkey was, and that there wasn\'t a movie made that wouldn\'t be better if it had a monkey. Well, December 03 had just seen the release of Return of the King, so one of my friends offered that up to challenge my (admittedly facetious) theory. but I thought about it a moment, and then asked her to imagine the giant eagles at the end being replaced by flying monkeys. When she finally stopped laughing, she admitted that I might be right, after all. :)

Sea breezes... a chill... doesn\'t she need some medicine rubbed somewhere? :D Not? Oh... oh well, at least she has a spectacular pair of lifejackets.

As for that Geena Davis flick, Cutthroat Island, that was definitely the best pirate flick I have seen. Damn fine acting, damn fine story and some damn fine flesh. :)

@Finn: I just happen to play the Warmachine army that uses the undead pirates. Not only are the models beautiful (my fave is the guy with the dive helmet who\'s opening the panel so he can see to shoot his pistol) but they are raw in the game.


And I have to jump the \"Pirates of the Carribean\" was awesome bandwagon. I was extremely hesistant at first, I mean, c\'mon, it\'s a movie based and a Disneyland ride! But after hearing nothing but good things about it I finally saw it and loved it.

I was going to fillet your quote to make it smaller....but it\'s all relevant.
I am not on the payroll, in fact they owe me several favours...but the PP stuff is just fantastic!! I have just acquired the second rule book and it is sooo good..even for a idiot like me who isn\'t interested in the rules:flip:
As for the film..it\'s been lurking on my shelf for ages.... Finally found the fortitude to play it. I was expecting so little..that\'s possibly why I am so impressed:flip:
I have still got *XXX* to watch..the Vin Diesel thing. That\'s been sitting on the shelf for ages as well, but that\'s not going to impress me is it???

if you just take it as an action flick with cool stunts XXX is pretty good. The story is actually pretty good and the action is excellent. I enjoyed it.

The rules books were worth the purchase price just for the eye candy and painting tutorials! And the \'fluff\' was an excellent read, quality all around.

Did you see Chronicles of Riddick? Vin Diesel\'s best IMHO. It blew away the first movie, Pitch Black. Don\'t even bother to see his latest, The Pacifier; can anyone say \'career suicide\'? lol

Kate Winslett was the girl in Titanic.
Cate Blanchett was in LotR ( and she\'s Australian).

The Titanic chick was cute, but that pirate girl in the above posts is fecking awesome!!!

My three favorite minis are Undead, Pirates, and Nuns... in that order.

So can one of the sculpters on this site please make me an undead pirate nun, so my life will be complete?

How about one of you Fish-dogs (I can never remember which is which) come up with some concept art for that one. ;)
