Who would win out of Gandalf and an AT-AT??

Definately Gandalf, and anyone not thinking likewise is a moron!

:innocent:

is the AT-AT at hoth? because then the AT-AT would win. all it has to do is wait for the old codger (who hasn\'t got any real powers.) to die of hypothermia.

even idiots know that wizards can\'t fit into a taun taun.

How can you say that Farseerlum? Gandalf could easily fit in a Tauntaun. Not to mention, He would just conjire his own sphere of warmth. The AT-AT wouldn\'t stand a chance.

Alll it is is just a glorified 40K Sentinel anyway.:p

Yeah right! So on Hoth Gandalf can\'t call on Shadowfax, outrun the AT-AT and then proceed to pick the overenlarged tincan apart with his supreme magic!? Your not making a lot of sense! Maybe you should go and read a book or two on the subject before flaunting your illfounded beliefs on this venerable forum!

Well, I think popular opinion would be against the AT-AT due to its carbon emissions.... the frowning, disapproving populous would undoubtably fall upon it and give it a damn good, and much needed kicking, thereby helping the bearded-one achieve a safe moral victory.

Bless ;)

I can\'t believe people can be so stupid to think an AT-At can beat Gandalf.

Sauron? Yes, of course. But never Gandalf.

I have to agree with Farseerlum, have you ever tried to fit into a TaunTaun with such a large hat..........Well I have and believe me it\'s not easy.

Thinking about it though the TaunTaun was still alive when I tried and the hole was a lot smaller, and smellier.........maybe I should have tried feet first..............:D

I would say it depends whether they were both standing on an excessively narrow and structurally unsound bridge.

One thing that bugged me about that whole thing. You have a vast underground mine, with tens of thousands of Dwarfs living and working in it, with only three ways in or out.......

How do they get food supplies in and all this mithril ore out? Not over that precipitously narrow bridge that\'s for sure. Which leads us to exit number two which is a tiny tower on top of the mountain peak. Maybe they air freight it all in and out by giant eagle?
Exit/entrance number three: Fair enough that big lake with the wibbly Cthulhu lookalike is a recent addition to the geography of the area after the valley mouth was blocked but unless those tricksy Dwarfs have invented a mining cart that can climb up and down steps it ain\'t coming through there either.

I know it\'s makebelieve but these things matter damn it :mad:lol

Ok all you crazy people talking about gandalf pwning an AT-AT are wrong, and heres why...

ive seen the lord of the rings many many times, and also read the books, and there is absolutley no mention of gandalf being able to deploy a tow rope...

no one can kill an AT AT unles they have a tow rope. have any of you ever seen an AT AT get killed without a tow rope? it is the ONLY effective weapon against an AT AT.

I rest my case.

Ah what really happened was the AT-AT saw Gandalf and fainted

Even if that is the case, Matty, Gandalf does not have any grenades. Yes he has fireworks, but they\'re too big and need to be planted in the ground. They can\'t be jammed inside of a small panel. And I don\'t think the AT-AT would be scared when Gandalf tries to make himself look spooky with all that darkness and the booming voice. The AT-AT is the shizzle!

See you\'re all forgetting that, as a wizard, Gandalf has a pointy hat. The reason it\'s so bent is as a result of the last AT-AT that tried to step on him.

Also AT-ATs are alergic to pipeweed
