Heard this before? I thought so too.
Possible scenario :
You are a good painter, but you haven\'t painted any other than Games Workshop figures. You think they turn out well and you send them to CoolMiniOrNot. The figures get averages over 8, and you are happy. A few months later, you see your first Rackham figure, and buy it. You paint it well, and send it to CoolMiniOrNot with a description like this: This is my first Rackham figure, so, please, don\'t be too harsh. The figure itself is painted well, and would deserve an average of 9.2, but that\'s not what people think. The average drops to 8.5 because of the description that makes people think you are lying. You are really sad and start spamming the forums.
Just what I am thinking about things.
In general I find that pleas for leniency don\'t move me much - if you want kindness, ask your mom. We\'re here to try and become better painters (and to show off, of course), and part of that is honestly assessing each other\'s work. I owe much of my last few years\' improvement to the \"unkind\" voting and blunt criticism of CMON.
