Hey Matt, off-topic, but how old are you? You don\'t look that old in your profile picture, yet you seem to be able to push out these awesome minis like it\'s no trouble at all. Feel free not to answer if you don\'t want to.

Awesome work, but i cant help but notice the first unit of Men at Arms appears to be marching at a 45degree angle, rather than forwards...

Still fantastic, the comissioner will be very happy im sure!

Only 21 and you already have 8 Golden Demons! Damn, I\'ll be lucky to paint to that standard when I reach my painting peak (which won\'t be anytime soon :)). Glad to see you\'ve been able to turn it into something more than just a hobby. Keep up the good work.

Isn\'t the first unit going to be used as scouts? If so, does it matter if their bases aren\'t squared up? (I\'m not trying to be rude here. My Warhammer rules knowledge is pretty poor so I don\'t actually know the answer to my question! :D)

Yes, i wasn very explicit! The first unit are squires, they will be used as scouts. I was referring to the Men at Arms unit (10 ranked up minis about halfway down the page).

It wasnt really a criticism, ive just done a similar thing in the past, which really annoyed me after id done it!

Olaf and Aidan, thanks for the kind words :)

Yeah the miniatures were supplied with diagonal slotted bases, so they are at an angle. One thing though is that they don\'t rank up so well when on straight slotted bases, so I guess it\'s a necessary evil.

That seems like a bit of bad design on GW\'s part then. You would think that you would check something like that when you are sculpting the unit in the first place.

Too true.

The new High Elf Phoenix Guard rank up horribly, despite being very well sculpted. Only the guys with their spear straight up will rank properly, the other models have their spear set forward and at an angle to where it hits models in front of them.

At least with multi-part plastics we can position them to rank up properly. Kinda hard with single part metal figs. lol

When can we expect new pictures to drool over? :)

And what will they be? :D

Is your colour scheme for characters going to be similar but just brighter and more fancy in comparison to normal troops by the way?

I\'ve got 7 more Yeomen in the works now. The horses are nearly finished, should have a picture of them uploaded in the next hour or two. I\'ll have the riders done by the weekend.

Yeah the characters will basically be brighter versions of the color schemes so far. There are 3 main schemes for the army, and vary per unit. There\'s green/yellow and blue/white, which you have seen so far, and then there\'s some blue/yellow guys too.

I think I\'ll paint one of the damsels next, after these yeomen are finished. :)

Thanks for watching!

It\'s a bit of a pain with skaven, what with their tails. Anyway, I did manage it.

On topic, the army is coming along great. I need to learn to paint armies. I never really did complete even a single unit (excluding a box of lizardmen back in about 1985) when I first started in the hobby, let alone on my return.

I agree, Skaven are a real pain in the arse. I have painted two full armies for myself, and dreaded the building process! I was pretty happy with how the new plastic Plague Monk unit ranks up, since the tails come attached to the body. I hope they make a new Clanrat set like that.

1985 eh? That\'s quite a while! Better get the brushes out and start an assembly line! :D

Here\'s the shots of the next 7 horses. :D

Unfortunately my order of pin vices haven\'t arrived yet, so I will only be able to paint 3 of the riders at a time. (I use the pin vice to hold the riders while I paint them, since they don\'t have a base, and I only have 3 pin vices at the moment).

Should have the next update on Saturday or Sunday.

You have yourself your own Kentucky Derby going there. If you need any extra Bret parts, let me know. My buddy has a ton if you need extra.

Thanks for the offer, but I think I\'m set. I\'ve got a ziploc bag stuffed with Bretonnian bits from a few previous army commissions. lol

Decide on a hero mini you want to do yet?

Sorry for the lack of updates, folks. I nearly have the next 5 yeomen done. Pictures tomorrow.

I took a much needed day off this weekend. Things have been very busy and I needed some time to relax, so I got out a canvas and some oil paints. :)

Now I\'m back to working diligently :D
