Fantastic stuff! Looks very good, never like Bretonia until now. The hero on foot is beyond my wildest imagination. We need a bowing smiley. I\'ll use these instead:   :bouncy:

Got 4 of the trebuchet crewmen done last night/this morning.

I made the colors a bit more muted than on the skirmishers. These crewmen are the lowest of the peasants after all :)

Cheers for all the kind words. :D

Matt, those crew men are amazing. You\'re just flying with those guys! Can I suggest a base theme for them? Make it muddy clay with footprints strewn around. It\'ll give the effect that they\'ve been seiged for a while. It\'d be cool to have water in the footprints too. It\'ll make it really rugged with the way you painted the crew. Great stuff!

Cheers,
Jake

Thanks guys :)

That sounds like a great idea Jake. I plan on putting them on a small gaming base (4x6 inches maybe) with square spots for each foot figure to go.

The basing style still needs to match though so there would be grass and rocks mostly on the outer edges, as if the crew moved / launched most of the nearby rocks.

Golden Demon is fast approaching! So I am trying to focus mostly on my competition entries. Plus I took a much needed day off from painting.

The trebuchet is about half done. I\'ll probably get it posted in the next couple days :)

Cheers

Remember to come up for a breath of air, Matt! Your making more progress on these Brets than many of us could make in four months. Great job so far and good luck on your GD entries :)

Cheers,
Jake

Oh let the boy be, he\'s going to stomp on the Demon this year so he\'s prepping his pieces for perfection. :)

Yeah I am going full speed ahead with demon entries right now :) Don\'t worry! I\'m not slacking!

I just finished a huge zombie army for part of another commission. Now I got two weeks to prepare my entries. Onward with the caffeine!

I\'ll be posting lots of knights in a couple weeks. :)

Ah yes, the doomed final words of a young and promising painter. Later he\'d be found vigorously scratching a brush to a mini. His eyes blood shot, he\'ll be screaming, \"I need more contrast, I need more contrast!\".

Later the paramedics finally got the brush out of his hand which no longer contained any bristles as it was ground down to the ferrule; the poor kid had long run out of paint.

Isanity ladies and gents.

:D

Good luck on those Demon entries!

Cheers,
Jake

GD is over and the crazy painting will resume shortly. I\'m getting settled into my classes this week (spare time is being spent running across town buying art supplies and books). Plus I dropped a class and need to get in a new one.

Should have a finished trebuchet by the end of this weekend. :D

Well, it\'s certainly been a while since I updated. Should be a lot more active on here now that Games Day is over.

Got the trebuchet finished. A slight change of plans on the base. I decided not to put slots for each of the figures to go on the big base, as there wasn\'t enough room. I didn\'t want it to be too big, cause it will need to fit on the table top for gaming, so the smaller the base, the better.

I also did not put any big rocks on the base, as I figured the crew would have already launched everything nearby :)

The base is one of the new GW movement trays.

Now I\'ll probably start the knights. Or maybe the Men-at-arms. Lots of choices.
