Two things I cant stand: EMOs and goths, especially when they declare to be either themselves. It\'s like the \"be yourself\" thing taken to the point of just fitting another mould.

Where in San Francisco are you? I\'m out in the avenues / outer richmond. Have you checked out the Inner Circle yet? It is a monthly meeting and mailing list of bay area painters. We meet once a month over at Scenario Games in Fremont to paint and share ideas and techniques. Active members include a number of Golden Demon winners, including CJ Cummings, Laszlo, Matt Gubser, Finn, Derek, and others (I can\'t remember who all in the group has a demon now). But there are painters of all levels, and the group is VERY mutually supportive, believing in helping each other out all become better painters. No abrasive big egos or anything.

Emo is kinda about an \"emotional\" style of punk rock. However, it just became a fashion style (just like the whole gothic thing did) of wearing \"uncool\" things like ill-fitting clothes and box frame glasses. The stereotypical different person.

I usually shy away from cons, but if there\'s one within walking distance I might get off my arse and pop along. I never keep up to date with what\'s going on and where. Would love to grab a pint too but I\'d rather you didn\'t grab my something! lol I just had to bring the tone down didn\'t I?!
