Rackham Ophidian snakeman

Finaly after about four months finished off the Rackham Ophidian Solar. Going to enter it in Salute this weekend.
Cheers for lots of support and help from Milosh and 10 ball (really like your take on cloth 10 ball).

Also a big thankyou to megazord-man for the info on doing the base label.

one small question though: why does it have green scales with blue underbelly at the head and blue scales with green underbelly at the tail?
As it is a fantasy creature it's not a big thing but still a bit weird that it got switched somewhere in the middle.

Your not wrong i saw a couple of ophidian archers on the gallery and they has a change of colours halfway through so I thought I would give it a go.

turned out great! really like the base too, simple but effective. what did you use there?

High Skelletets the base is a walnut burr plinth with Aluminium foil painted up with Denheb stone and the washed etc and whs smith transfer stickers for lettering. The desert top is a desert resin base from micro art studios I bought off eBay. If you look on massive voodoo there is a tutorial for producing something almost identical using milliput and the base of a paint brush let it set and then pva and a sprinkle of fine sand.

Excellent mini! Excellent job, I like the way you painted it, Rackham way, NMM and popping colors!
I think the mini was sculpted by Egotyk (Simonminiature), you can recognize the small ornamentation and details. The mini just got another amazing painting job. BTW, I like the simple base, it fits well the mini and the colors...

I also wanted to add that I find it quite amazing now with Rackham miniatures, that most of painters are really careful and spend a fair amount of time painting these mini with their best skills! Knowing that they are OOP makes me spend more time and try to strive for excellence...
