The funny thing is I will also be doing a couple of re-paints soon, for a project I\'m part of.

for the most part, repainted PPP is a nightmare...
the bigger mecha for at-43 seem like they would be better than the infantry, but i haven\'t tried one yet...
i was too frustrated by the infantry...

cheers

I don\'t know about other countries but I can get Rackham models in the Rackham Legends series at a shop called WarPuppy in Australia. These are metal models, but they are very slow to add anything so I hope the supply continues.

But seeing the site has got me worried that they will never be able to add anything else to the range. I\'d like to be able to paint at least one Rackham model.

Which has got me thinking what are the plastic models like, have they got the same level of detail that the metal models have?

The term \"Rackham Legends\" now refers to their new line of resin minis, which have great detail from what I\'ve heard and aren\'t painted. If you are finding Rackham Legends that are metal then they are most likely the old Confrontation minis, which are no longer in production; there are still quite a few floating around out there, for which I wrote a guide.

The only non-metal Rackham model that I own is the Aberration Prime, which is quite detailed. I have a resin Dragon Titan on its way in the mail (hurray!), and from what I\'ve gathered from pictures the detail is exquisite. The PPP are okay, but I would never re-paint them...there are plenty of metal to work on before I resorted to such a sad state of affairs ;)

Perseverance, my friend, perseverance. I got mine from someone on Bartertown that I\'ve purchased tons of stuff from; I saw one on Ebay go for about $200 a few weeks ago...my guess is that you should be able to find one in the $150-200 range if you put your feelers out, but you\'re not going to find one for less than that.

Heh, yeah. :) I guess I\'m not a very patient kind of girl! lol It\'ll probably have to wait until I have that kind of cash sloshing around looking for a home, then.

I refuse to buy the new plastic miniatures because whenever I look at them in their new packages the minis are always broken.

But... but.... the packaging is so HUGE! Surely it should provide some protection!? Honestly, I\'m considering buying the wolfen/griffin starter pack - I could live in it instead of finding a new flat!

I have not seen the confrontation plastics yet. I meant to say that the packaging for the AT-43 is pretty flimsy. I am not familiar with the factions but which ever faction is human has a squad of jump pack type minis and the minis have a fire stream coming out of their packs and where that pack meets the flames is very small and that was where the minis I saw were broken. Plus that joint is so small that it cannot really be pinned.

Funny you should say that, because the only time I ever encountered the PPP Rackham minis was when I ordered metal Centurus Clones on Ebay and instead got plastic Syhar Sighthounds, one of which had a broken part. It looked like it would be easy enough to glue, but you\'ve gotta wonder...

Wash your mouth out for even asking that question, the PPP, or piss poor plastic as my locals call them, as terrible, compared to the metals, but there are people out there that try and say otherwise, they are called.......Fan boys lol

It\'s a bit hard to see for myself. I\'ll blame blind hope, hoping for at least some good replacement. Although I think I might as well hope I\'ll win Lotto.

Honestly don\'t want to have to strip paint off plastics, just to paint them.

Who wants bog-standard boxed armies anyway?

Hate plastics most of the time, they don\'t feel right in the weight factor. I like working with metals more than anything.

I\'ll think I\'ll take up that name PPP. Or just label any plastic Rackha stuff PMC (Poor Marketing Choice).
