Reaper packaging sucks/ New Wave burn em at the stake!!

I think I read somewhere on the Reaper forum that they actually bend the weapons deliberately to fit them in the blister. If they made the packages bigger they\'d have to charge more. I\'m a big fan of the clamshell packaging that people like Privateer use, but you notice that their minis are more expensive, too.

Like Jubilee says, if it\'s bent you should be able to bend it back in shape if you\'re careful. If it\'s too badly bent see if you can exchange it for another one.

If you are missing product, I can find out for you, but as far as sealed product with bent weapons, there is very little to do with the retailer... Reaper packages their own products, so if they feel the need to bend them, it is on them.

New Wave is evil and all that good stuff, but I don\'t think it has the power to bent pewter in a blister... at least not yet...

Thanks Borg. Thats really nice of you to help me out. I\'ve sent you another PM about the order. Cheers.

About the weapons. Honestly, some of the miniatures didn\'t need to be bent at all and would of fitted in. :( Anyway i suppose i can live with it since Borg has helped ease the pain. Thanks again Borg :)

Are you sure? I thinked they hired that little bald kid from the matrix. lol

So you are admitting NewWave is evil? :D Do they get together with the employees from GW to sacrifice unbaptized babies on a secluded hilltop by the light of the new moon? ;)

(They really do that, ya\' know...)

well, unless you missed the news, NW and GW had a big falling out when GW decided that they want to sell all their products on-line for full retail themselves, and hence they stop doing the sacrifices together. Now they both have their own hill top ;)

On a serious note, you can blame NW for not shipping product on a timely manner, I agree, blast away. But they can\'t possibibilly be blamed for Reaper bending their weapons because they can\'t jam them in the small blister. Next thing you know NW will be blamed for freakin golbal warming lol

I will check on his backorder to see what the hold up is. But for sealed products that are defective, you will have to contact the manufacturer.

MarkusTay, while I have your attention, make your submissions bigger and if you want multiple pics, do them long ways, not sideways, I can barely see what they are.

Consider this thread closed.

Did you hear a secret corporation known as \"NW\" or even \"New wave\" has sabotaged the Kyoto Protocols, and bent miniatures still in their blister packs.

Seriously though, it does puzzle me though why New Wave haven\'t changed the way they do things and why Borg is capable of getting some fixed, but not others.

Hi Borg. I think you have misunderstood me. I\'m not blameing New Wave for the bending of the miniatures, just for the half an order i recieved. The award for the bendy weapon goes to Reaper.
Yeah I\'d consider this closed...well thats if I\'m gonna get my minis ;)

Then the title should be Reaper packaging sucks/ New Wave burn em at the stake!! lol

:) One good thing has come out of this. All these posts I\'ve made. :D

Erm...why do i get the feeling someones watching me  Oh no. the reaper boys are here. No, honestly, the sculpts look really good, Its just the weapon bending i\'m not too keen on. Especially when theres no need to in some cases. I hope i haven\'t offended anyone in anyway. It was just a customers rant. Thanks all for listening ;)

The way some molds are made, it is extremely difficult to pull the mini off the mold without bending protruding parts, and this is especially true for longer polearms and swords. Rather than spend time trying to fix it, and making the metal weaker, they tend to leave it as is, and let the hobbiest take care of straightening things out. Also prior to packaging, the miniatures are stored in bins, where they get shuffled around, are handled by QC, etc. And get many chances to be further bent.

Last but not least, Reaper tries hard to be the base line for prices on the market. And packaging is part of the cost. While I too would rather pay an extra quarter if it would mean not getting a bent sword, most of their client base is happy with the way things are.

I hate having noodles for polearms as much as the next guy though, so I will go through lengths to replace any such offending parts with brass rods.

I see. :) Well, because I\'m a Reaper virgin you could imagine the shock when i opened the box with all my new minis only to see...well you know the rest ;)

The newer warlord stuff is in larger blisters, as is most of the Dark Heaven stuff. For some reason they have kept with the tiny blisters for the LotFR and Exalted lines. I have stuff from all of their lines, being a Reaper fanboy, bit there are some truly excellent pieces in their exalted line that are being overlooked by the hobbyist. The initial releases in that line were very uninspiring, but the newer stuff is worth a look.

I think all miniature and game related companies have some sort of pact with Satan, because how else can I possibly justify my unhealthy addiction to tiny metal people? ???

;):D

@Borg - I realized my problem with my pics, and I will correct it with all future picture posting. I appreciate you taking the time to explain to me why 80% of my pics never go active. Thank You - Mark

I highly recommend you see the Indian movie \"Asoka.\"

In it the title character uses this sword that is made of an extremely thin, flexible metal and works kind of like a whip. He wears it as a belt! It\'s apparently an actual ancient Indian weapon.

My point is, maybe the swords are meant to be curled
