By the sound of it you need to get out more and have an actual life. The only way you are going to meet anyone is by interacting with them. It may also sound lame but if you seriously want to get a partner then I would either look to the internet or tell your family and friends to find you some propects.

dude, that sounds a little harsh (i\'m sure you don\'t mean it that way!) but i agree with the sentiment. my social circles are going a little stale so i have started doing some evening classes. there\'s nothing like a bit of massage to get talking to someone!!

Sorry if that sounded harsh, wasn\'t meant to be. In one of his replies he simply said work was the only place he could meet people. It\'s the thinking more than anything which needs to change.

A definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting to get a different result.
SO if you have a goal and what you have been doing isn\'t working then you need to notice that.

mail order, i hear russia is good. :D

seriously tho, don\'t get hung up on it.
many people are in the same boat, give up trying and you are more likely to succeed. why, because you will be more relaxed around women. just have a friend to point out the ones that like you, that\'s where i go wrong.

I paint my thumb.
@Tbs: In this way, lots of people do, guess I can be glad about that...

@DrEvilMonky: Don\'t get me wrong either. I don\'t blame her for not liking me, but for not being honest with me, the rest is just me going on about my own frustrations, not blaming anyone but me.

And it\'s not about her so much, in a few days I\'ll be back to my good old nameless loneliness...

I am on the internet dating ( Under another
green pseudo) , got me nice chat pals that lasted a while, but nothing more. I don\'t think it\'s cheesy in any way, more honest than the club scene imo.

As for getting a life, it\'s all right, by your definition, I don\'t have one, and except the lack of feminine presence, It\'s fine with me.
There is more to my life than you seem to think tho.

i know, but i agreed with your sentiments entirely. as someone said to me the other day there are a lot of lonely people out there, you just have to find them. never like the whole internet dating idea but it\'s just a way of meeting people really. going to join soon i reckon (although i want to grow a pair and ask out a dr [female] from work first). also, speed dating was a laugh and a good way to meet new people in a similar situation with no pressure. one of the women in the 20-29 age group had a son my age (i am 24) so i figure she lied about her age! it was a good start as it totally relaxed me

If you don\'t try you can\'t fail.......That\'s one way of looking at it..

The key to anything is being happy with yourself.

I was married gave my wife everything she wanted never left short of anything.. we had fun times went all over and were a well known accepted and liked couple.

I settled down didn\'t see my mates much stopped going out and gave up a whole host of hobbies..

that still wasn\'t enough she went and saw someone behind my back a no hoper pill popping chav....Seems the happiness I gave her lacked any kind of challenge for her.. Sad thing was I used to be like that guy but changed as I thought it was what she wanted. Guess it was just too easy for her.

we\'re all the same deep down most people who\'s partners are blonde have a thing for brunettes.It\'s all about that challenge of something been a little unobtainable.

sounds like this girl enjoys the flirting but doesn\'t want what\'s easy.

perhaps the more worrying thing is you seem not to be happy with yourself at the minute and that\'s always a problem. No matter what you go through in life the one person that shares everything with you is you and being happy with yourself is the best way to be.

pick your chin up get out and travel a bit. Your young and have a lot to do experience yourself and enjoy this and all other experiences will soon follow.

good luck chief and may the days ahead be a little brighter.

I\'d agree with you there. With the stresses of work etc. it seems to be a very viable way to meet a partner. My sister met her husband this way and has now been happily married for 6 years. She used to work odd hours and never got out too much, so she bit the bullet (and ignored the slight stigma) and has never looked back.

Best thing is to not stress about it. Don\'t actively and desperately try and find a partner.... it\'ll just happen when you least expect it. :)
